What a disappoinment. This place was great when they first opened downtown. Not sure what happened between then and now, but it feels like someone lent them their copy of “The Restauranture’s Guide to Cutting Corners to Maximize Profit While not Completely Alienating Your Clientele.”

The salsa bar used to be awesome. I’d be surprised if any the stuff they put out now isn’t from a can or a jar. Canned chicken in the taco salad.

Can it really be a Latin restaurant when everything of substance is dropped off by a Cisco truck?

Super disappointing, and this isn’t the only place I’ve noticed this trend. I used to love South Bay Pub. The same thing happened there as happened here.

Restaurant owners owe their clientele more than this drek.

The salsa bar with the self serve chip warmer was a good idea. I had enchilada con Pollo y mole, top quality, with black beans topped with cotijo. We all tried the mole and agreed it was very well made. Spouse and offspring had street tacos, said the carne asada was excellent. Fridge of all the Jarritos flavors. Absolutely will go back.

I love this place! My favorite dish is the tacos durados, which I always get with their latin bean soup. It’s got chorizo and beans in it with cilantro and onions. I also like their chicken tortilla soup. It is well seasoned and the chicken is moist. Staff is very fun and friendly.

Making place for hispanic/Latin food. Great drinks and a fun team of servers. This would be my go to spot if I lived closer!

I really hate to leave poor reviews but this was the worst food experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas. What I got was dry floppy tacos filled with exclusively a veggie mix, including broccoli, cauliflower, and hard carrots. Just straight up half steamed veggies in a floppy dry tortilla. It was incredibly unpleasant and cost $20. The chips and salsa were a red flag off the bat, but I hadn’t imagined it would have been that bad. A horrible experience. In my experience vegetarian enchiladas are rolled tortillas filled with cheese and covered in sauce. This was not that. If you are interested in this place because of the vegetarian and vegan options just know what this means.

This place is phenomenal. We love Mexican and are pretty snobby about getting great food. Starts with great house margaritas and house chips and salsa. I waited to come back for visit two to provide a review just to make sure the service, food, and atmosphere would be as excellent as the first time. It was. First visit we got the house margs, enjoyed their homemade chips and craft salsas, and thoroughly enjoyed the wet burrito with green sauce and green pork. Amazing. This second trip we tried the carnitas quesadillas and they were superb. I kinda judge a Mexican place by its quality of carnitas as well and it delivered! Highly recommend and you will not be disappointed in the food, friendly service, self-serve chips and salsa, incredible drinks, and total atmosphere. This place is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurants in the Lacey/Olympia area and one of the best you will find. Enjoy!

Great atmosphere, service, and food! We loved the combination of formal and informal dining. Laid back, friendly, welcoming. Lots of laughter and smiles from the staff, not to mention the food was delightful. I ordered the tamales and my husband had Diablo steak. Self-serve chips and salsa bar was fun and delicious. We will be back. 🙂

I had heard good things about the locally owned Equal Latin and then decided to check it out. The little salsa bar is fun (see photo) as each person can get their own samples. I also thought the pork and bean soup side was yummy and unique. My shrimp tacos were also quite good. Service friendly and the space warm and welcome . It was packed on a Friday night which is a good sign. They also offer salsa dancing nights. I may raise my rating to a five after I’ve been a few times. I’ll be back!!

Wow! What a gem. We had a fantastic lunch. Carne asada, seafood chimichanga, seafood enchiladas. Delicious food, great service. We will definitely be back next time we come through Olympia. Easy access off the highway.
