From the moment you set foot in Entremar, you can feel there’s something special going on. The place is loud and busy, yet somehow still a bit fancy, a cool mix that works.

We’d eaten so much throughout the day that by the time our 6:00 pm reservation came around, we weren’t very hungry. Still, we ordered the shrimp cocktail and the house specialty, the red and green fish (500 g). The shrimp paired perfectly with my Pacifico, but the undisputed star of the night was the fish. Both versions were excellent, but I’m firmly Team Red. It’s a bit spicier and absolutely perfect with the tortillas it’s served with. Special mention goes to the mashed beans on the side, which were outstanding. I paired this with an Albariño.

The service deserves its own shout out. Fast, attentive, and with just the right touch of humor, it made us feel comfortable from start to finish, even with how busy the place was.

We finished with the fig and mascarpone tart. Sadly, the meringue was already sold out, but it turned out to be a fantastic consolation prize and was absolutely delicious.

Lives up to the hype.

All the food we got was wonderful, from the ceviche contramer to the grilled fish, to the sopas and tuna tosadas, the food did not disappoint.

For dessert, we got the most popular option (unsure of the name but it was the one when cream, Meringue, and strawberry). That dessert was just okay to be honest and I kind of wish we went with something else, but outside of that, everything was great and would definitely go back.

As an aside, for the grilled fish, the pesto sauce was far superior in my opinion and if I go back, I would get the entire fish covered with that verses the red sauce (which you can get in some of their sopas).

This restaurant lives up to the hype of being Contremar’s sister. The food was delicious, and we think the price is well worth. Tuna tostada was fresh and juicy, and the grilled fish was very well seasoned.

The service was incredible as well. We love that they bring out a whole tray of dessert for you to choose instead of a menu! Highly recommend the cheese flan.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Entremar is a must if you love seafood. We ordered the famous whole fish with the red chile sauce on one side and the green herb sauce on the other—absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, crispy where it should be, and the two sauces make every bite different (I was basically switching sides like it was a flavor debate).

The salsas and lime setup at the table were fresh and on point, and the salads we had were light, bright, and the perfect match with the fish. Clean, cozy dining room, great pacing, and genuinely attentive service. Would 100% come back.

An unreal experience here

From the second we sat down until the moment i walked out the door, everything was perfect. Daniel and Ubaldo were our servers for the night and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were a party of 2 and ordered the Tuna Tostada, Sashimi, Mini Quesadillas and the whole fish. Everything was flowing properly. Never felt rushed and new dishes would come out in a timely manner. The food was amazing. The ambiance and service made it even better. I’m not sure what i did to deserve this but on my way out, one of the workers stopped me and handed me a hat. Cherry on top

Loved the food, service and ambience. Totally see the hype. We didn’t try too many things but everything we ate was great- the contramar fish with adobo and parsley was amazing!! As was the guava cheesecake. Service was really good too. It’s expensive though so not an every night thing.

Hate to the the bearer of bad news but this restaurant was really not worth the hype. Yes the tuna tostada are delicious and definitely worth getting but then just leave after that. The pasta with shrimp was very meh and the seafood soup also was just ok. We had the coconut flan which was good but the fig tart really left something to be desired. Overall skip this spot if it really comes down to it. A 2700 mxn bill is not really worth it. Honorable mention the Chevice Colima was good as a starter but then just head on to the nearest taco stand.

Entremar was such a strange experience for me. I wanted to hate it but simply couldn’t.

Each dish looked so plain and simple, something g I can get at any seafood restaurant, but it was only when you ate it did you realize the significant difference in quality and execution. Each dish was cooked exactly how it was meant to be cooked, perfectly seasoned with the necessary sauces.

It was pure perfect execution.

I was astounded by sis after dish, looking forward to disappointment it never was. It was very strange indeed.

And surprisingly the star of the show was the fig pie desert. I implore you to not skip desserts. It was the most balanced dessert where each bite called for more. I would go back just to eat the dessert. Oh, and the angel hair pasta was so perfect. It’s so each to overcook it but they did it justice. Clams was cleaned so well you can decorate your house with it.

Service was attentive and prompt and if you get a seat on the upper floor looking outside, I think that will be the perfect experience.

Fantastic seafood in the Polanco neighborhood. Everything we ordered was delicious and presentation made it even better. We ordered fish soup, octopus, fish meatballs and a whole grilled fish with adobado sauce on one side and green salsa on the other side. All dishes were excellent. very attentive staff. Our meal was one of the best in Mexico City. Absolutely! Would be back again. You should probably make reservations.
