This place is a must stop if traveling through Rico. The atmosphere is excellent – very historic and welcoming. They had vintage pinballs in the back that my son loved to play. The food hit the spot. We had burgers, chicken strips, and beers. The service was the best part – very attentive but not overwhelming. We talked with Stu for quite a while after we ate – what a friendly and caring owner. We’ll be back on our next trip!

We stopped by here late on a weeknight during a slow and snowless winter. My truck was stalling out but we managed to crawl the truck to the front door. The owner had already started closing for the night but he welcomed us graciously and fed us a delicious meal. He proceeded to give us advice on the area and offered us a room upstairs if truck remained stalled. We were able to get the truck moving again and we made it to Telluride. His kindness and hospitality in that situation will always be remembered. I will make an effort to stop by this bar every chance I get.
To the owner, thank you so much! We eventually made it to Montana after a couple more breakdowns. The truck is fixed now.

Once again, we gave the Enterprise another go.
Stu, Stu, Stu, though you’ll try, you just can’t justify (or rectify) this anymore.
We ordered a pizza – ½ pepperoni, ½ “I want it all” and received a full “I want it all”. It promptly came with an apology explaining the cook failed to make the correct pizza then, popped in a pepperoni (at no charge) and it’d be out in “8 minutes”. 15 minutes later, our 2 guests were served a (burnt) pizza. In hindsight, I had to wonder why the Server would consider serving it. Understood.
(BTW, she did her job well).
So far this summer, we have avoided this restaurant however, a few evenings ago we knew there was no alternative as we passed through Rico.
The inconsistency has been consistent!
We’ve come to the conclusion that we just can’t trust your establishment to deliver a consistently good experience as evident in “other reviews” Stu.

Very awesome home town bar and grill… Bf and I had there chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were cooked perfectly, not dried out, there fries were mmmmmm good also cooked to perfection. They had so many things that sounded soooo good.
We are going back to have dinner there again tomorrow and try I think there pulled pork sandwich. The bartender she was awesome… Bf and her chatted about old times. He has not been here since his was 7 yrs old….50 yrs ago.
Love all the $1 bills on ceiling, all the old dates that people wrote
on it and they stuck them up there.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!
Empty when arrived. Took well over an hour to get our food. The server and cook kept going outside to smoke, leaving the door open. My family had to inhale cigarette smoke while sitting at our booth. Ordered two pizzas, a chicken sandwich, and hamburger. Pizzas were undercooked, and grease was dripping off them. Chicken sandwich was too dry to eat and the bacon was burned. The burger was ordered med rare and came well done. Total disappointment.

During our road trip, we stumbled upon a charming old mining town. There were only a few places to eat, and we decided to stop at one for some finger food and drinks. We sat on the outdoor patio with our dogs. The food was decent, though nothing extraordinary, but they offered a great selection of drinks. The service was excellent; the staff was very friendly and answered our questions about the original bar. It’s really impressive that they have maintained the bar over the years while preserving some of its original charm.

I love visiting a historic building that has been kept in beautiful shape. The food is delicious, service is friendly and fast, and there are lots of options for drinks on tap. Family friendly with lots of games and pinball.

Best bar for at least 100 miles. Friendly staff. Cold beer. Live music. Great food. Stay in one of the old rooms above the bar if possible. I visit as often as possible. Most recent visit was Independence Day 2021.
