Food was ok, but you can get the same quality at other cheaper places. The only highlight of the night was the wine and brownie.
We started with the meatball appetizer, which was incredible — rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Our drinks were excellent and set the tone for our meal. For our main courses, we ordered the Fettuccine Bolognese and the Pasta alla Besciamella, and both were exceptional. The pasta was clearly homemade, and the sauces were deeply flavorful and beautifully prepared.
We also added a sausage link, which turned out to be their sausage appetizer — homemade sausage with onions and red peppers — and it was just as impressive as everything else. The portions were generous (not the smaller portions many restaurants tend to serve), which made the experience even better.
Also, the bread that they serve prior to the meal seemed to be homemade and was amazing.
Our waiter, Israel, truly elevated our meal. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and offered wine tastings along with excellent recommendations. To top it off, he personally walked us over to the speakeasy next door and showed us around — such a thoughtful and memorable touch.
We live about 32 miles away in the suburbs, but Enoteca Rosa is absolutely worth the drive. Highly recommend to anyone looking for outstanding Italian food, generous portions, and top-notch service.
From the carefully curated wine list to the incredibly delicious food to the beautiful design of the interior and the patio – this place feels like a small slice of Italy in Houston. And that’s coming from someone who’s lived in Italy before.
I’ve had the gluten free pizza twice and each time it was phenomenal! I will be coming back without a doubt.
The gelateria and speakeasy next door were the icing on top
Yes we didn’t make a reservation on Valentine’s Day BUT they were kind enough to accommodate us.
For Valentine’s Day they had a set menu offering appetizer, entree and dessert. I was a little unsure of which wine to get and I appreciate the waiter assisting me to find something I would enjoy. The food – let me tell you DELICIOUS!
Everyone was so kind, helpful, organized and attentive. Really great experience would definitely come again.
Today, with a friend to sample from their price fixe. I shared a photo of the menu as I can see the Italian American focus.
I I hesitate to order a pizza because I think that my criteria for pizza excellence, well, even though it is thr Candelari family, I decide not to risk it. So our defaults are salad (good), meatballs (good), pasta alla besciamella and chicken parmigiana. Again, Italian American. Lotsa chewy cheese. Entrees were perfectly acceptable. The recipes followed the traditional format and preparation. If these are dishes that you love to order when you dine out, you will be pleased imho.
Service. Impeccable. Terrific waitstaff.
Hindsight being 20/20, and as a good learning experience for me and my current personal taste, I should’ve ordered something different as it seems that I am moving away from the gloppy sauces typical of Italian American cooking.
