We had a great time here! There were three of us and we enjoyed beers, a delicious vegetarian Ethiopian dinner, and the Ethiopian coffee at the end. The food was flavorful, the injera was fresh, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Everything tasted authentic and we really appreciated the friendly service. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a great Ethiopian food experience in Portland!
The place is being remodeled and feels very welcoming.

We have eaten here many times over the years and the food is always amazing! We typically get the veggie feast for three people and tonight there were at least four dishes we have never had before. The food was so good I had to call them and thank them.

First time had the Ethiopian cuisine. The dishes resembled Indian cuisine and had lots of vegetarian options. Drinks were refreshing! Super friendly chef! Ambiance was nice too. Beautiful artwork on the restaurant walls.

Best Ethiopian food we’ve had in Portland. We always get the 2 meat 2 veggie dish and it’s always the perfect amount for two people.

this spot is so amazing! I ordered the Alichia with lamb & it came out hot and perfectly spiced. The injera was so soft and delicious. They also added an order of potatoes on the house! Rich and comforting food in a cozy environment. The service was kind, inviting, and generous. Great price for the large portions! Will be coming back soon.

We’ve been to many Ethiopian restaurants, but we were unimpressed by the food. Maybe we are just used to more Americanized versions of Ethiopian, but we had a lot left over and none of us wanted to take any home, so that says something.
We had the 10 combo veggie platter, the lamb tips, fish tips, and peanut yam soup (which tasted like it’d make a great dipping sauce for a skewer).
We would try somewhere else next time.

Amazing Ethiopian cuisine! I had the pleasure of trying the kitfo, chicken tibs, and kuanta firfir, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were incredible and authentic. Enjoni is a gem in Portland – highly recommend for anyone looking for excellent Ethiopian food.

The food was delicious. We ordered medium spicy. I wish we would have gone with hot. Nevertheless it was fantastic. The honey wine was refreshing and delightful. I had an espresso shot as well, which hit the spot. I would highly recommend this place. It’s great for intimate conversation and I especially like the social aspect of enjoying sharing your meal, which to me is more personable.

Tasty Ethiopian fare. Wide range of spiciness options from savory foods to hot and spicy dishes. We ordered multiple dishes to share, which ranged from wonderful to average. Cozy and modest decor and pleasant service.

I got the kikil (goat stew) and a St George to drink. I showed up right as they were opening, but despite interrupting their prep they were very friendly and attentive. The stew was nice, the meat well seasoned and tender. Will definitely be back with my wife to try a larger variety of things next time!
