Wasn’t sure if I was going to like this place. Very specific menu known for their chicken salad and scramble burger. Didn’t have either of those! Got the hot dogs instead. Chili was just okay, but the coleslaw was great. Very limited sides as well.

We ordered the scramble burgers which is supposed to be what they are known for. While the burger was okay, it was cold and not very special. I could have made it much better myself at home. The inside of the cafe was nice and cozy though and the staff was friendly. We won’t be returning though, just not enough offered on the menu.

My friend and I were driving through Thomaston and wanted to grab some food, so we stopped downtown and asked a local boutique worker where to eat in town and the immediately said to try English’s. We tried the scrambled burger and just a normal hot dog for our meal and then for dessert we did a strawberry freezer pie and their chocolate truffle. I am pretty sure that’s what they were called! All the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Planning on coming back foe sure!

Best burgers ever!!! My family is from Thomaston and we go at least twice a year from Atlanta to the Cafe to get the burgers. We always have to bring home a bag of burgers. The sauce is to die for. I can’t tell you how many time we tried to get the recipe from Jack when he was living. Yummy Yummy Yummy!!!!

This place is a historical location for Thomaston, GA. I’ve been eating those famous burgers for over 40 yrs. I no longer live in Thomaston but I make sure whenever I’m home I’m going to by and order at least 5 of them. The owners are 2 wonderful people also.

Did not enjoy eating here. The scrambled hamburger was disappointing. The staff were friendly enough, but it was clear that if you were not a regular, your presence was tolorated at best. The scrambled burger is nothing but a lazy sloppy joe. The other two items on their menu were as equally unappealing. Skip it.
