This was hands down the worst diner experience I’ve had. I’ve reviewed over 100 diners and I’m always fair, but this was unacceptable.

This locally served diner serves both American and Dominican dishes. A couple of the window advertisements caught my eye, and I decided to them both a try.
Breakfast Special:
I definitely fulfilled my appetite with this massive breakfast which included pancakes, over easy eggs, Taylor ham and hash browns. The portions were so plentiful that I needed more than one plate!
The chef substituted a couple slices of regular ham because they only had 3 of the 4 Taylor ham slabs that are included with this special. Although I enjoyed the traditional ham, Taylor ham is the better choice of the two.
Mangu Con Los Golpes 5:
If you looking for a Dominican spin on a traditional breakfast, this is the perfect pick. The gigantic plate had eggs, fried cheese, Dominican sausage, salami, mashed plantains, and avocados.
Initially, I didn’t think I was going to have an acquired taste because I was not accustomed to eating this type of breakfast. After a couple bites, I realized I was mistaken; my only regret is that I never explored this plate until now.
The only slight disadvantage to this restaurant is the misleading outdoor sign. It lists
“Breakfast Lunch Dinner” underneath “Englewood Diner,” but the restaurant closes at 3:00 PM every day. It would be recommended to omit “Dinner” to avoid any confusion.
I truly recommend this diner because the portions are more than fair and the prices are reasonable.

Party of 4 is considered a large group; therefore they will charge a mandatory tip = Total BS. Quality of service was minimal at best. Dirty table, utensils, and random equipment was left on our table and no one bothered to deal with them until I spoke up. Plenty of tables available but were seated next to decorations for a Disney Cars theme bday party. Food was below average. We ordered burgers, hot pastrami sandwich and a chicken panini. The entree & fries tasted regular but the side dishes salad, Cole slaw, were trash. Pastrami sandwich was skinny, lacking meat (only 3 slices!). Not what I expected from the picture. Avoid this place if you have good taste. If you must, come with low expectations!!

I can’t image there being a better dinner around. (And I know for a fact this is 10x better than the other dinner that comes up in searches) The staff is on point- totally sincere in their friendliness and attention. The menu isn’t the most clear but if you say what you’re looking for they will point you in the right direction. Our coffees were never empty! The food was so good! Both “traditional” diner breakfast/brunch and the special Dominican plates hit the spot. Fresh and flavorful. All four of us walked out stuffed and happy. Almost didn’t want to leave!

I’ll give them 2 stars because Hannah was great in terms of HER customer service. The food was not so great. I’ll be honest- maybe I shouldn’t have opted for Dominican food at a diner but both our plates which consisted of white rice, beans, pernil (pork shoulder) and chicken felt and tasted like it was microwaved which is why I don’t get why it took almost 40 minutes to get our food with very few people seated at the diner. I also noticed that my glass cup had a crack in it but Hannah quickly replaced that for me which I was appreciative for but most likely not going to return.

I had the most delightful experience at Englewood Diner! This family-friendly restaurant offers a fantastic variety of menu items. During my visit, we opted for breakfast, indulging in mouthwatering chocolate chip waffles and pancakes, along with perfectly scrambled and fried eggs. The presentation of the dishes was impeccable. The fruit bowl was a burst of flavors, and the coffee was simply outstanding. What impressed me the most was the reasonable pricing across the menu, making it a great value for the delicious meal we enjoyed. The staff at Englewood Diner is incredibly kind and patient, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I can’t wait to visit again soon!

Service was professional and nice. I ordered the Greek Wrap. The wrap was flimsy which made it difficult to picked up. I settled for eating it with a fork. Wrap had decent flavor. Fries were crispy and seasoned well. Overall, it’s a nice affordable place to stop for lunch. Overall average experience.

This my third time coming here I don’t come often but I haven’t been disappointed not once. The service is great and gives you a homey feeling even the type of diner it is you get the same feeling. Breakfast was good had Caramel Pancakes and Turkey Bacon Omelette w/ Homefries & Toast. Will return n not be so long in between with visitation.
