I have heard about End Cut several times from different locals since moving to the Hudson Valley about 2 years ago – but this was my first time going, and WOW. I honestly think it was one of the most well rounded and delightful meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a very LONG time. Every single item that arrived at our table from the drinks, appetizers, palate cleansers, entrees, to dessert was absolutely delectable. I personally ordered the Delmonico (16oz boneless ribeye, medium rare), and WOW. Better than most steakhouses I’ve been to. The service was impeccable, and so wonderfully attentive to our needs. I can’t believe this place was right under my nose for two years.

We found this restaurant accidentally on our Memorial day weekend. The restaurant surprised us with how great the service and food was. The presentation was beautiful and between dishes they gave us sorbets as palate cleansers. We have never seen anything like this in the city for this price. Thank you guys for having us, we will visit again!

A large group of us went to End Cut and it was overall a great experience. Bread basket appetizer with the whipped ricotta and honey butter was great. The arancini had good flavor and sauce, but were a little soft in my opinion. Our server was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He assisted in recommendations and choices for main courses. Everyone loved their main courses, the filet in fig sauce was delicious, the Strip steak was perfect with no sauce- just seasoned with basic ingredients. The mac and cheese as a side was a little plain, but was still a good dish to share. The dessert and coffee was out of this world, the French pressed coffee was some of the best I’ve had, a large for the table will be consumed with no problem. I would have given the restaurant a perfect score, but upon near finishing our dessert the host informed us that a table was waiting for us to clear, and though we were near done and about to pay, it was never shared with us if dinner reservations had a time limit.

Perfect dinner start to finish. Food was above expectations. Atmosphere inside was great for conversation and love how Chef Jordan visits each table. Never had a bad meal here! Love dining outside when it’s nice too!

I had to tell my husband that yes, the filet mignon here was better than the ones he grills. Best steak I’ve ever had. And the cocktails, wine list, and service are all superb. We will be back.

The End Cut is a tiny hidden gem restaurant conveniently located on Rte 9W just north of Highland and New Paltz. Their meatball appetizer is incredible and I am a tough meatball critic! The steaks, seafood, & sides are great. The craft cocktails are always on point. They have outdoor seating in summertime, but in winter, there’s limited table and bar seating so it’s a great idea to make a reservation. The key lime pie is also quite good.

Food, service, atmosphere is fantastic! We had the pork chops and filet mignon. They were delicious, the meat melts like butter. We had tea at the end of the meal and they gave us a timer, nice touch!

After going back and being able to get in this time, I have to say, our meal was beyond fantastic. The mushroom cakes appetizer was beyond delicious! I ordered the burrata salad and the seared scallops (appetizer) as my dinner, and I was not disappointed in the least! Every dish was absolutely fantastic! I finished with the apple tart tatin, whis is fantastic if you love that sour sweet, mouth puckering, taste. We will definitely be back for more!
