This is a great cafe. I tried to include as many pictures as I could of the menu and offerings because for the size it has a lot. They are only open until 2pm so you definitely want to hit them for breakfast brunch or early lunch. There are gluten free options if you need them which you don’t normally find in smaller places but they have them here. The owner is wonderful and happy to spend time talking with you. It’s a neat spot to stop in and grad some thing kick off your day with.

The Encounter Cafe is a total gem of a place. It is an easy on the soul, warm, welcoming spot where you feel like you could sit and enjoy all day. You won’t want to leave. Bring a good book or just enjoy the atmosphere with a nice drink and a treat, and get the recharge you need. The food and drinks are fresh, made there, and VERY reasonably priced.
I specifically want to return on a rainy/snowy morning and spend several hours there with a book, but I’d definitely also consider the location for business meetups.

First time visiting Encounter Cafe in Converse Indiana! Made a special one hour trip and went past multiple Starbucks just to try this little gem of a coffee shop. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable.
Super friendly staff and the environment is absolutely perfect! I had the savory hand pie that had sausage egg and cheese. It was obviously homemade and absolutely delicious. My drink was a vanilla iced coffee with oat milk and it was hands down better than I get from any chain store.
It may not be close to home but they certainly proved why it’s worth the drive.

Encounter Café is a fantastic, warm, and friendly place to go for coffee & tea! They make their pastries and food in-house. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and I love to meet with my friends here! They also have a nook for my kids to play with toys and games/puzzles while I can connect with fellow adults It needs to be on your list of must-visit places, or even just become a regular!

Awesome place! My cousin & I happened on this place today & really enjoyed our experience. I had iced tea & a cherry hand held pie. Yum! The vibe is current & if I lived close by, I’d definitely frequent the Encounter Cafe!

This is my second time here, and this place is delicious. I got a peppermint shaker and bacon, egg & cheese hand pie. The people working were friendly and mentioned that they can make pretty much whatever you want in the shakers/cold foam. Tastes good & a cute environment!
