I absolutely LOVE this place! I’ve been going here since high school over 15 years ago. If the age of the restaurant doesn’t draw you in, check out their menu and try it. It’s called encore for a reason! My favorite dish is the vegetarian General Tsos and today I tried their lunch bowl with the vegetarian Szechwan beef. It was amazing! They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options as well as classics. Plus they have alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. There’s literally something for everyone. Also shout out to all the plants and decor! ✨

I ordered to go. I am pescatarian and ordered the Vegetarian General Tso’s chicken. It was so delicious and I had been craving something like this for a long time and Encore perfected it. After the first bite I was so happy! I will definitely be ordering here again.

Cool, relaxing vibe, service was great, food came quickly and tasted terrific. The Springs rolls and crab Rangoon were nice starters, great flavors. Pad Thai noodles with the beef, chicken, and shrimp was excellent, just the right spiciness. The pineapple chicken was packed full of pineapple and great flavors. Portion sizes were good. The background music was even pleasant and not too loud like many establishments. Great choice while we were back in town!

Our waiter was also very nice and apologetic about the wait for our drinks. The menu at restaurant boasts a selection of Asian dishes, with a particular emphasis on Chinese food influences. While we thoroughly enjoyed the various sauces served with the dishes, we did find the overall taste a tad bland. However, the presentation of the food was simple yet elegant.
One aspect that definitely won us over was the generous portion sizes. You’ll leave the restaurant feeling fully satisfied and perhaps with some leftovers to enjoy later. I’ve been wanting to go here due to how beautiful the window looked with its plants and statues. The interior design is stunning and our food didn’t take long at all. The presentation and taste of the passion fruit green tea as well as the general TAO’s chicken with fried rice was great! Our server was sweet and I even got an adorable, reusable, to go cup for my drink. Will one of my favorite Asian restaurants in Lawrence so far. Definitely plan to go again and hopefully try the option of adding popping pearls in my tea!
