The lady behind the bar was super nice. The food tastes great but I spent 90$ on 40 tacos so when I went to grab a taco that was 1/4th filled with protein and the one beside it 2/3 filled with protein I realized the cook ran out of meat and decided to be lazy instead of satisfying my 100$ order. It’s really disappointing as 30 seconds before this discovery I was talking with my fiancé about posting the food and @ing en su Boca on my instagram. The laziness with a 100$ worth of food is very disappointing but other than that the food does taste great and the atmosphere of the restaurante was great and the staff were friendly, sadly I will not be back, as I expect my food to be properly cared for when spending that amount of money.

I come here at least once or twice a month and eat in. Today I decided to order takeout. I enjoy the sweet potato fries, so that’s what I ordered. I get the fries and more than half of the batch is scorched. Just check your bag before you leave if you order take out.

Received this recommendation from wife’s friend. We decided to go not being from Richmond. After being seated noticed all the cups have hard water marks and not fully dried. I know it’s simple but even the water tastes like it’s melted ice from a 2 star hotel lobby. The margaritas were actually really good. I got the enchiladas and my wife got the tacos. The rice was not cooked fully and still hard (little things) but the enchiladas and tacos were good the corn tortillas tasted like the pretzels at a baseball game. If you are coming through Richmond looking for a Mexican place to eat at I would certainly say there are better options. I don’t understand or get the hype behind it, maybe it’s just the drinks and the hole in the wall type of atmosphere.

Stopped by for lunch today. Order to go. Two carnitas tacos and two Cajun shrimp tacos. After receiving them I ate them about 10-12 minutes later. They were soaked in grease and falling apart. The tacos had hardly any taste to them. So far not a fan. $21 plus with $3 to go tip.

I’m writing this because I’ve been a regular at En Su Boca for years. I’ve always vibed with the crew there, but honestly, the energy lately has been a total mood killer.
The service the last few times has been straight-up rough. Most of the staff seems so grumpy that it actually makes sitting there uncomfortable. Last week was the absolute kicker, though–the team collectively lost their marbles over some chairs. It was so over-the-top that we actually thought it was a joke.
It got even weirder when our server decided to pull a “mic drop” with the checks, slamming them down and tacking on a 20% gratuity. Just to give you some context: we weren’t a rowdy frat party. We’re a group of 30-somethings in suits just trying to grab a post-work drink without the side of salt.
I know the service industry is a grind, but the constant grumpiness and that full-blown hissy fit over furniture was unreal. It’s a huge bummer because I used to LOVE this spot, but right now, the vibes are rancid.
Hoping you guys can get the “Su Casa” feeling back.

My husband and I came here after going to the circus. We never get into the city these days and definitely never kid free, so this was an absolute treat for us. I used to come here all the time, but it’s crazy how priority changes when you get older, and service is almost more important than food. Our server kate was a joy. Despite clearly being swamped, she remembered my drink order and placed the order for a second one! We spoke to the GM josh and he was so thankful to hear how she was. Food was good, don’t get me wrong. But she was the sparkle of the evening!

Great experience! The Orange Crush was amazing! Chips and salsa are the best in Richmond, it is hard to stop eating them. I had the shrimp burrito as a bowl, very tasty! Everyone was so nice. My server, Kate was very friendly and attentive. Even the young woman who seated us was engaging. I will be back.

Really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts appetizer and Rajas tacos. My kids loved the chips and salsa. The chips are quite thick and crunchy. We were seated inside but the large windows were open, so it felt just as nice as outside.
