Two different (non native) diners we ran in to said it was their second visit in a row… That says it all! Lobster burger is superb, I’ve never had anything like it, highly recommend. Mixed drinks are great. Wings are fried with care, very crispy, delicate coating, not greasy. We’re back for our second visit, will add photos of the Sunday only baked chicken and stewed beef!
Yeah, make sure one of your two visits are on a Sunday! Baked chicken and stewed beef are perfect fork tender and incredibly flavorful. Take the front of houses’ recommendations for sides, beans and rice, plantain and potato salad.

This restaurant was recommended to me when I first arrived in Caye Caulker. During my first visit, I got the lobster burger & lobster cheese fries (ask for onion sauce) and they were delicious! Since then, I’ve gone back two more times to eat the curry which as also amazing! It doesn’t get too busy and the owner is very friendly.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. This was our 2nd visit in as many days. I recommend the jerk chicken, jerk lobster, pan seared lobster and lobster burger. They were all so fresh and tasty. They also know how to make an excellent coconut mojito.
If you’re looking for great food at great prices, away from the tourist crowds, this is your place!

Lobster burger was good, but the lobster was a bit tough/chewy, making it difficult to eat. Parmigiana roasted potatoes were good, as was the strawberry daiquiri. Nice atmosphere since it is indeed a bit hidden away.

Lovely little restaurant. We tried the jerk chicken and jerk fish with rice and beans and plantain, which were delicious. The pantyripper cocktail was really good too! Definitely recommend!

Ate here last night and couldn’t have been happier with the overall experience. My wife had the grilled lobster and was very happy with it. I tried the jerk chicken and it was one of the best things I have eaten in a while. The spice level was perfect and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The staff was super friendly and the service was quick. I highly recommend trying this little place out if you are on Caye Caulker.

THE best dinner we had on the island, hands down. It’s straight up homemade mom’s food. I did a lot of research on dinners and this was by far the most flavorful and tasty we had. I got coconut curry fish and my wife got the jerk chicken, both amazing 9.5/10. Pretty spicy too but not too much. Cocktails were great as well! Absolutely no complaints and it’s the only place I’d probably go to more than once in one trip. Seriously, do not skip this spot.

It took us a few days before we found Em’s, but so glad we did!
Follow the sign to their backyard restaurant and you won’t be disappointed! It’s charming and unique.
The chicken burger was delicious, made with fresh lightly breaded chicken. The breaded wings has such great flavor. They were sold out of the lobster burgers that they are known for so get there early if you can. Great service and food was excellent value.

We spent a week and a half in Belize between San Ignacio and Caye Caulker. The jerk chicken I had for dinner at Em’s Hideaway was by far the best meal I had the time. Absolutely fantastic and perfectly seasoned. I’m going to remember this one for a long time!
