So far, this place has the best Orange Chicken compared to all the other places where I’ve tried it—and I’ve tried many. The portion is reasonable, it comes with a drink, and it costs around $16. The staff is friendly, and the place is calm and relaxed.

I’ve ordered from Empire East for years, and their BBQ spare ribs never disappoint—tender, smoky, and with just the right amount of glaze. The Kung Pao chicken is my go-to: crispy veggies, perfectly spicy, and never soggy. What keeps me coming back? The staff always recognizes me (shoutout to the friendly folks at the counter!

Ordered general tsos, eggroll and dumplings. Dumplings and egg roll was great. General tsos was dry and lacking flavor. Zero crisp, coating was mush. Big pieces of white meat, definitely had potential but didn’t do it. Staff were friendly and food came out quick and well packaged. Prices have to be most expensive on staten island. Prices are comparable to manhattan and definitely not on that level.

I came here because I just tooked a break doing UE deliveries and decide to go to a chincese place.
When I ordered the Chow Main Shrimp and a tea, pay and wait patiently. When the girl at the front desk gaved me or receive the plate, for my surprise that looks like something else. For me it does looks like lobster sauce or something, plate looks slammy/sloppy and not apetizing and they didnt gaved me the tea that I request it.
I went back to the girl and explain what kind of food is this one? She reply and told me that I maybe was thinking “Lo Main” and not Chow Main.
But didnt offer an exception of exchange the correct plate.
In addition to this the rice felt uncooked!
Ive been 30 years in Staten Island and have ate chinese all my life.
I dont know what kind of service is this but for sure I wont comeback!
This is a restaurant with poor quality overall.
I know because I am a Chef in NYC and I do UE on the side.
I know what is good service and poor service in the kitchen.
This is a poor service served.

Empire is definitely my place to go when I’m craving Chinese food. I usually order the chicken chow Mein and my Wonton In Egg Drop Soup which this is the only place that I feel makes the soup perfect. I just order Thai Basil Chicken , which I have to say it was delicious definitely be ordering that more often. All the years eating from Empire I never had a bad experience.

I’ve ordered numerous times from this place. This time I ordered pork fried rice with egg and chicken wings. The rice was bland, no taste, tasted old and really disappointing. They lost us!

The person that answered the phone was very rude the food overall is good but the prices are ridiculous $20 for a combination dish of sesame chicken and the takeout plates have gotten smaller so they even giving you less. It’s definitely not worth it
