Empire City took over the space that Ah Gin Wong’s was using. The new owners have dramatically upgraded the interior boasting two flat screen TVs on the wall behind the counter.. They added booths and tables with a nice decor. They also have added a buffet line, though it was not in use when we went.
This is NOT your cookie cutter Chinese place that pop up all over the place. They offer more of the spicy side of the Chinese cuisine, ie, Hunan, Szechuan, etc.
My wife an I LOVE the spicy stuff. We ordered the Hunan Chicken, the spicy Lo Mein with veg, and the Spicy Tofu and it was all great. They know how to bring the heat.
The only negative, if I had to write one, is that when we walked in to pick up our order, we stood there for well over 5 minutes with no one behind the counter. We could hear people talking in the kitchen, but I was hesitant to knock on the door. One of the staff finally came out and took my money and gave me the food. It was there behind the counter already waiting for us.
Highly recommend this place and we will repeat our business.

FINALLY GREAT CHINESE FOOD IN AYER!!!!
Friendly staff, great portions, fair price, and simply fantastic fresh food! I come from an area where good chinese food is very easy to come by and this place exceeds many of my experiences. Certainly is way better than the competition in the area. A must try! I got a very wide variety of dishes for multiple people all of which left everyone happy and raving.
