I tried the empanadas and churros from Empanash in South Lake Tahoe, and everything was fantastic. The ground beef empanadas were absolutely divine—rich, flavorful, and perfectly juicy. The chimichurri sauce paired beautifully with them and really elevated the experience.
For dessert, I had the churros, which were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked. The service was top-notch: friendly, fast, and welcoming. They also offer alfajores and mate tea, which adds an authentic touch.
I highly recommend Empanash and will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely recommend if you’re looking for a meal on your ski trip!! Partner and I got the 7 empanada combo for $50, and saved two for a pre-ski breakfast the next day. They were delicious both fresh and reheated the next morning.

Ordered their henhouse empanadas and enjoyed every bite of it. It blew my mind that they made these fresh and served them hot. Definitely worth the hype and would highly recommend it to anyone who’s visiting Tahoe!

Empanash is such a gem. Prices are fair for the area, and the empanadas are authentic and delicious! We tried the ground beef and the spicy chicken. I usually prefer ground beef, their spicy chicken was exceptionally good. Their chimichurri is a MUST.
What really made the visit special was the service. Friendly and clearly proud of their food. They were sincerely appreciative that we stopped by, which was really heartwarming. The space itself is cozy too, with board games, books, and even a cute little nook for kids.
We’ll definitely make a point to stop by whenever we’re in the area!

The best empanadas and tomato soup I’ve ever tasted. The soup is homemade: creamy and beautifully flavored. Warm goodness in a cup. I tried the spinach empanada. The dough is flaky, crispy and lightly fried. The spinach is mixed with cheese and the whole affair is so satisfying. Coming back tomorrow

The food was absolutely delicious, and you can really feel the care and passion behind it. The café is run by the owners themselves, who are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Authentic Argentinian empanadas at a reasonable price. They are stuffed with your choice of filling and all of them are delicious. Would recommend a few for a more filling small bite. Their condiments are great too.

I saw some great reviews for this little spot, and it happened to be right across the street from my hotel. I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! I was greeted by the owner. He took the time to share the details of several dishes and made recommendations. The Zuppa Tuscano was enhanced by the addition of some spicy sausage. Perfect for a chilly January afternoon. The Popeye Empanada had a light, flaky crust and was packed with spinach, mushrooms and tons of cheese. The addition of the chimichurri sauce was the perfect finishing touch. I left with a full, warm belly, and will definitely be coming back.

Friendly staff, charming location, delicious empanadas. I have lived in the US for two decades. I have tried may “empanadas” places that n luring one in Shinjuku, Tokyo. This location is by far the best I have ever tried. My family and I were so excited that I hm forgot to take pictures! LOL. I highly recommend their beef, chicken and Popeye empanadas. Finish with homemade flan and you will be in heaven! Will be back!
