The spices. The texture. The TASTE! and they also serve gluten free options! I will continue to happily drive an hour one way to get my Argentinean Empanadas from this establishment!! Service it always with a smile and the food cannot be understated, it is truly phenomenal!

This is a small food joint. Convenient for walks to grab a small bite and go, just what we like. We tried 6 different empanadas on two different occasions: mushroom, cheese, buffalo chicken, beef, spinach, and a vegan al pastor. Out of the 5, the best was the mushroom and cheese. My husband tried the meat and preferred the beef. I tried with the chimichurri sauce and without, and I don’t think it needs the chimichurri. Personally, it overpowers the flavor of the empanada. The vegan al pastor and spinach were ok. What really stood out was the lentil soup. My husband liked the chicken soup, but we loved the lentil soup. It was filled with flavor, and it tasted like something my mom or grandma would make. I would go back for the lentil soup. It had celery, red bell peppers or peppadew peppers, carrots, onion, cilantro, and potatoes. Simply phenomenal.

Always great empanadas and good service. I love to buy the frozen empanadas and heat them up throughout the week. High quality and tasty

The Empanadus storefront is not only incredibly inviting, but the dining area also has the added benefit of being bathed in sunlight during the initial dusk hours. Such a captivating characteristic can only be complemented further by the charming and charismatic individuals who took my order .
Visiting during such a sublime time of day, coupled with several dozen unique empanada flavors to select from, caused me to get lost in the marvelousness of it all. Given that this was a “quick snack on the go stop” I only ordered a few empanadas, so kudos on suggesting the bbq pork and for also recommending the chimichurri sauce. Those aren’t what I would typically order but they were damn near perfect. That plus a pepperoni really hit the spot, and helped keep me going for the rest of the evening .
Looking forward to trying out the beef, and definitely having another pepperoni, plus whatever else you’d suggest next time .

I can’t review atmosphere. I was there alone in late Sunday afternoon . I was on the way to Italian place. I’m so happy I stopped in Empanadus. . Empanadas with mushrooms and spinach were very tasty. The lentil soup was absolutely delicious. I’m a good cook but their soup was much more superior than mine. It’s a very small place but a little treasure. I took some empanadas to go. I’ll be back in a 100%.

This place is in Riverside on Burlington avenue. An area I’m very familiar with however, I’ve not had the pleasure of eating in this establishment till yesterday. 3/30/2022. I had two empanadas, a bowl of lentil soup, a Pellegrino and a dessert in which there is a picture here but I’m not sure of the name. First and foremost, the place is clean. That’s the biggest issue for me overall second, while I’m not an empanada expert, these were very good. Fresh not dry. Flaky and flavorful. The two ladies that were there were delightful. I don’t know if this is a good deal or not, but the empanadas I believe were $3.20 a piece. The soup was very good. Rivals my wife’s lentil soup. The location is right off of Burlington train stop reasonable amount of parking and overall a very good place to visit. One caution, there’s not very much seating area. See pictures. Definitely a recommendation.

If you have never been to Empanadus, run don’t walk! These are by far the freshest and tastiest baked empanadas I’ve had in a long time. Brought home a dozen to try and find our “flavorites”… went head over heels for the Beef, Buffalo Chicken and Mushroom. The BBQ Pork, Sausage, Spinach and Vegan options are also top notch. Very unique and delicious, Empanadus are a hit.

Stopped here on a whim on the way to the zoo. What a great find! Delicious empanadas. Got 6 different kinds and they were all really good! The habanero salsa was HOT in the best possible way. The woman behind the counter was great to deal with. Will definitely be back!

Horrible management, long service, empanadas are all re heated after being frozen and are still ridiculously expensive. They will leave them out on the front rack till they are old and dry. Good gelato i guess.

Reading all these reviews might have raised my expectations a little to much. Or maybe the price raised my expectations. But nevertheless, I tried 2 kinds the pepperoni pizza type and the beef. The pizza was a 2star edible but super greasy. The grease oozed onto my beef empanada. So much so I took one bite and took a break to gather myself. The beef was a 3 star maybe better without the pizza grease. I’ll give it another shot down the road, maybe.
