Got a free empanada by coming in dancing! So already off to a great start. Went with my partner and even though we were together since we were both dancing, we both got free empanadas!!
Now let me tell you about ‘em… Crispy flaky dough, packed with filling that was rich with flavor and love. Added a salsa which helped to give more depth to the flavor and really made the empanadas sing on the pallet. Getting two free
Empanadas + economical price for each ($4-$5) = us trying and delighting in 4 different ones (all featured in photos). 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be stopping by and dancing through to enjoy when I’ve got a hankering.
Can’t wait to try the rest of what they have to offer!
Also they staff was very relaxed and welcoming. We also went on a Saturday afternoon round 2ish and it was calm inside. No wait for us to order and we got them within 60 seconds of paying!
But the culinary experience doesn’t stop there. Their cold brew Yerba Mate is a refreshing and invigorating complement to the savory dishes. It’s clear that Empacho is passionate about delivering an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!
I came back here and had their ham and cheese as well as their breakfast. It was soooo good as well!! Have the garlic mustard with the ham and cheese and you can have sour cream.
They also have great merchandise and the person who runs it, Camila (I think that’s how you spell her name) is more than happy to explain the cultural background info behind everything! I am so freaking excited this place is finally open and am looking forward to seeing what they bring!!! (Stay tuned for events they will be doing with Red Hook Coffee right next door!!)
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the culture.
Outside seating places are setup for summer weather.
Enough cad parking place but it’s tricky to find the place with GPS. A call to the restaurant may help if needed.
