We have been coming here since 2015! That means 11 years of loving this place. 🙂 Mimi has always treated us like family. The empanadas are amazing, and you have to try them at least once!! I believe they’re $4.89 each. Honestly, I’m not one to bother for prices. If I want the food, I will pay anything. I noticed people complain about the size of the empanadas but looks can be deceiving. I am usually full with just 3. They have a lot of filling and are delicious. My all-time favorite is the cheesesteak one. We have tried most of the ones in the menu and that one is our favorite. We recently tried the strawberry cheesecake one for the first time and it did not disappoint. It is the best empanada to end your meal with. The chorizo empanada is also amazing, but it is really spicy! We will continue to come by and enjoy some empanadas any chance we get. The drink selection is a little limited, but you have your basic sodas and that is more than sufficient. If you’re thinking about checking this place out, do!!

Stopped by Empa Mundo and really enjoyed it. All the empanadas we tried were good and full of flavor. The lady at the counter was super nice and welcoming. That said, I’d honestly go back just for the guava and cream cheese empanada; it was that good. 100% a must try.

This is the best empanada place in Texas. The customer service is excellent. The empanadas are delicious and savory every bite. Anytime that we have visitors come to DFW, we take them to this place and they always want more. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but my favorite is the brisket and the chicken flavored one. For dessert, you cannot forget to get a guava flavored one.

I wanted to like this place so bad but sadly I won’t be back. I’ll start with the good. Service friendly & fast. Moving on…. sewage scent when you first walk in. I thought I’d like it based on the review score but it was just ok to me. I’m not their target audience as Keith Lee says. Lol And based on the reviews, I’m sure they’ll continue to have plenty of business. I however, wish I could’ve gotten my money back honestly. The French fries were not salted but still oddly very bland. Even without salt typically French fries have a fried potato taste. These didn’t. They were tasteless. The strawberry cheesecake emp had an slight fishy taste. I don’t know if that’s because they use the same grease as everything else but it just tasted odd. I didn’t like the alfajor or pineapple cookies …too dry and hard for my liking and the Texas twinkie and brisket ones were just ok. She confused my Texas twinkie for the strawberry cheesecake so there was powdered sugar on it and nothing on the actual strawberry cheesecake one. I feel like they charge too much for what you get but most places have to do that these days because of inflation so I get it but twenty bucks for four of these that I would consider snack size is just too much to me.

I love this place. It hasn’t changed one bit in the last 10 yrs I’ve been going here. The empanadas are authentic and so is their chimichurri. My favorites are the Criollo and the Chipotle chicken.

Had a co-worker that raved about Empa Mundo, and I came to give it a try. Amazing! The service was great. Very friendly & quick. We ordered 2 empanadas each plus desert so we could split them and try more flavors. They were all delicious. Here were our favorites. And get the chimichurri!!!
