Everything I’ve eaten here has been delicious! It’s true Southern foods with lots of flavor. The hot chicken is incredible. It definitely has some heat, but it’s so worth it. The burgers are a good hearty size with various toppings that make them one of a kind. The chicken salad is also yummy. The employees are so friendly and welcoming! This is one of our new go-to restaurants.

Why on earth is there cotton on the walls?? I looked up when the place was created and that was 2015, following with the name “urban plantation” unsure of why a restaurant would even be called that, much less have cotton on the walls. The chicken was very overpriced and way over cooked, an adult meal was 2 small pieces of chicken, while the child plate is only 1 small piece. The salmon was also not very good. No refills were offered until we were leaving. the waitress was super nice though. Someone please educate me on the history of this place ♀️ ♀️ cause this makes no sense to me

Stopped by Urban Plantation for the first time today after eyeballing it for a while. They open at 10:30, we got there at 10:45. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Our food was brought out within 5 minutes of us ordering, which was surprising. We had the daily special, which was creamy chicken over rice with mashed potatoes and macaroni, brownie truffle, and a brownie sundae. The food was good and hot. It’s a nice atmosphere, it’s not your typical restaurant setting, and our server (Mikey, I believe) was outstanding. It ended up being $40 for lunch and dessert for two.

It was FANTASTIC!!!!!! I had the smothered pork chop. The gravy was to die for. The service was excellent. Sweet tea was perfect. I absolutely have not one complaint. Other than… I wish I wasn’t done. ♥️ Great food. And the decor is SUPER cute. I say… Why would you bother with anywhere else in Shelbyville. This is it. For me, if I’m not desperate for sushi or burritos. I’m coming here.

The place itself is really cute- it’s like dining in a house. The 6 of us there thought that was a great concept. Service was excellent. The food was good too. We had steak, mashed potatoes, creamed corn (they called fried corn), macaroni salad, asparagus, green beans, hot chicken on a potato waffle and loaded grilled cheese. Everyone liked their food except me. I thought the chicken was over cooked and too chewy but no other complaints from the table of 6. Prices were fair also.

Sweet little gem in Shelbyville that is a refreshing change to the fast food dominated town. The food was great and service the same. We both ordered the Good Morning Burger. I ordered mine medium rare and actually got a medium rare burger(or close to it). Soo good! Will definitely be returning to enjoy more food!

We came in and were instantly seated. Great atmosphere, especially the wide variety of salt and pepper shakers on each table. The food was served quickly and was so delicious. I had hot chicken, paired with a delicious dill pickle pasta side that cooled off my mouth between bites of delicious hot chicken. It’s a long way from my home, but I would definitely come back.

Really enjoyed lunch. Had plantation salad and mushroom Brie soup. Amazing. Really must try the avacado ice cream too! Yum! Service was a little slow but we really didn’t mind the wait. Very friendly staff. The clothing store next door was a bonus. Had a good sale going on so the time. We’ll be back again for sure.
