Described as a modern, but low-key pizza restaurant in Midtown, Emmy Squared Pizza introduced our one-of-a-kind fare to Atlanta’s Upper Westside in January 2022. Founded on an unconditional love of well-made food, we use only the highest quality ingredients for our famous Detroit-style pizzas. As Emmy Squared has grown, we’ve continued to make fans and receive accolades along the way, including winning Nashville’s Battle of the Burger, being recognized as one of The Best New Burgers in NYC (Gothamist) and one of the 20 Best Burgers in NYC (Infatuation).

I just went to Emmy Squared Pizza in New York in December. I just so happen to be driving past it on the way home and realize that it’s not far from my house so the next day I had to come here and try the pizza to see if it was the same and absolutely delicious. I built my own pizza sausage banana, peppers, mushrooms, pepper. It was just as good as the one in New York so whenever I’m feeling like a square slide to Emmy’s will definitely be seeing me 🙂

Tom was amazing! It was more than just pizzas; it was a complete experience. The food was good, the drinks were fantastic, and there was great energy at the bar. Destiny also provided great help along with him.

Love this place but they’re not making these pizzas at the size they’re selling them for. Here is my “10×14”
As flavorful as these pies are, please correct this shrinkflation !

If it weren’t for Tommy, I probably wouldn’t have discovered Emmy Squared in West Midtown and I’m glad I did.
Tommy has built a strong reputation for taking care of his guests, and wherever he goes, people follow. He’s attentive, welcoming, and makes sure everyone feels looked after. I make it a point to stop in whenever I’m in Atlanta and see him working.
Emmy Squared offers a great variety of food and drinks. My personal favorites are the wedge bacon salad and their pizza, and the drink selection never disappoints. The atmosphere is relaxed the kind of place where you can walk in, unwind, meet people, and genuinely enjoy yourself.
For context, I don’t even live in Atlanta anymore, but Emmy Squared has become a regular stop whenever I’m back in town. That says a lot.
Highly recommend checking it out especially if Tommy’s behind the bar.

Arrived with a small group on a Saturday at 11:30a for lunch. We were immediately seated. The service was great from beginning to end. It was so nice to have the big open window for fresh air and the view outside. The burger and pizzas were delicious! The waffle fries were also cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!

This was my fourth time at Emmy’s, and the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch!
Jonathan and Adam were amazing, and always make each visit pleasant.
The chicken parm sandwich is mouthwatering, and Jonathan’s Old Fashion was a perfect compliment.
Highly recommend!

A pleasant lunch place for when you are craving pizza. The pizzas are square which add to a unique experience and ambiance offered. I got a large “El Jefe” and it was a good meal albeit a bit pricey even at that portion size. The flavors were good and the service was as expected. My only issue is the music can be somewhat loud making it hard to hear company, but beyond that everything was great!

I had the strangest experience on my third visit here. I am gluten free and this is my favorite gluten free pizza and gluten free garlic pesto bread. I chose to go here for my birthday dinner with my family and we had to drive an hour to get here. When we ordered, the server told us they don’t have gluten free garlic pesto bread, I asked if that was new and he said no. I explained that I’d had it 2 other times. Then he said they do have it, but I HAD to order 2 orders because no one else was going to order gluten free pesto bread and the other half of the pan would have to be thrown out? So now they do have it? I ordered two orders, and pizza and we went on as usual. But it was so rude that my food allergy was such an inconvenience for whatever reason and made me very uncomfortable for the rest of the dinner, which really was disappointing on my birthday. I’m sure it sounds silly to most people but anyone with food allergies and sensitivity knows that eating out can cause lots of anxiety and I was really excited to eat somewhere that I’d been to a few times and thought I’d have no issues. I’ll still go, it’s the best. But I feel like I have to call and make sure I can order things, before I drive that far.

Fantastic pizza and salad. Had the Hawaiian and a Caesar and both were delicious. Loved the Detroit style crust. Specialty martinis are also great. Attentive service and nice atmosphere. They were very busy with take out orders.

$65.35 for two undercooked pizzas, two sauce cups, and a “salad for two” that had brown/wilted lettuce. I can easily buy a bag of caesar salad mix from Kroger for $4.00 (and unfortunately ended up having to do exactly this since my pregnant wife just wanted a salad). What’s sad about this undercooked photo is that it actually sat in my oven for 24 minutes at 250 while I ran to Kroger…
Also, if we assume the salad they sell for $12.00 will feed two-three people (based on their own menu), I can imagine the $4.00 bag of salad I bought at Kroger would feed an entire wedding.
This place is a massive joke in quality. They used to be good when we tried it the first time a while ago but it’s clear they’ll fail soon just like Bastone and the other nearby failures.
We will not be back.
To the owners: refund my $65.35 purchase on 8/5/25 at 7:39 PM and I’ll update the review noting that you did exactly that. Also, just go ahead and close your doors, there’s no point in staying open and feeding people uncooked dough and rotten salad.
Edit: to my surprise, the owners did actually make a refund and even took the time to call and apologize. Their exact words were “there was quite a bit of things that happened while I was out that I need to address.”
I’m still going to hold off on them for now. For anyone else who visits, if they make massive improvements on quality and food, call my review out specifically.
