We felt like 2 of our 3 pizzas we’re overcooked. I like some blackening, but not all of the cheese should be black.
It’s also possible we are just not Detroit style pizza fans. For us the crust felt too oily and greasy.
We also got takeout and there were zero napkins or utensils in our bag. So we couldn’t eat our salad until we finished our two Hour drive. I understand restaurants not wanting to waste paper goods, but at least give us the option to choose whether or not we need them.
The Brussels sprouts salad, wow. Just order it. It is devine. I had the Big Ang, subbed pepperoni for sausage. It was delicious! My friend had the gluten free version, also delicious. The H&H margarita was also delish. We’ll be back next time we’re in Athens!
I ordered a “Deep Dish” for takeout this past Thursday night. I was confused while ordering when I asked for half and half toppings and the server -who was lovely, very sweet- asked if I wanted 2 pizzas. I thought, why would I need 2? In previous orders we received beautiful thick deep dish pizzas that had more than enough space for spilt-toppings. But this time we got a sad little mostly-flat personal pan. I spent $30 on pizza and then had to go out to order a full second meal from a different restaurant to feed my family that night! What a waste of money.
I can’t find a way to connect my review to my pictures for some reason, but I uploaded 2 pics that were taken from other customer reviews of this restaurant in the past several months. I never took pictures of our past orders, wish I had now but that is what my previous pizza looked like. They were 8pcs (not 10, as in the picture with 2 pizzas, where the woman who reviewed said she made those 2 last a week), good size and very fair for the price. My pics from this week’s order are the one with a yellow ruler showing what I got for $30 (26+tip) and the flat little piece of “deep dish” from the side. Clearly something has changed, and not for the better. If there were an option for a large vs a small, I would have chosen a large, but I wasn’t given any options at all, and for the price this was absolutely ridiculous. So I guess this is just what they consider a full pizza now? SO DISAPPOINTING.
