My husband and I both got the catfish special. It came with 2 very large pieces of fish 2 hushpuppies, slaw, potato salad, and toast.
The place seemed pretty popular. Our order came out in a reasonable amount of time. Very nice presentation. The potato salad was a little heavy on the mustard, which I like but my husband does not. The slaw was creamy and slightly sweet. The hushpuppies were your standard kind.
The star of the show was definitely the catfish. The coating on it was nice and crispy and very well seasoned. The fish was cooked perfectly and definitely fresh.
The atmosphere was energetic but not loud or chaotic.
Our server, Abby, was very attentive and friendly.
This was our first visit, but we will for sure be back.

Where to start?? The place is beautiful, modern and warm. The food.. oh yeah.. wow! I can usually pick out something I don’t like about food anywhere but I’m struggling to.
The jalapeño smash burger was amazing! It was flavorful, juicy and still medium. Even the well the bun was delicious and toasted (its the simple things like this that some places miss). The burger was topped with pepper jack cheese onion rings and CANDIED jalapeños!! If that ain’t got your mouth watering, there is something wrong, and you should get that checked out.
I also had to try out the southwest chicken egg rolls, !yeah buddy! They are good! Couldn’t skip out on the hot honey cheese bites. I highly recommend those too if you like pimento cheese. They are like deep-fried pimento cheese balls served with a hot (not really spicy) honey dipping sauce. Very delicious.

Went for lunch, I was feeling a BLT, figured I would get a typical sandwich like most places so I ordered 2 BLTs. Food was very delicious, I wouldn’t even touch the 2nd BLT after our appetizer. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!

The food was made to perfection, simple delicious, the bruschetta was so good iv never had any better , the waitress was great considering there seemed to be a bit short on waitresses, but she was good at her job, we left the chef a good tip because the food was perfect!

Food was very good, but the service needs some work. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, which was fine, they were busy. However, drinks only got refilled right before our food came and we still had to wait on silverware and napkins AFTER the food arrived, even though I had asked for them. Will give them another chance. Hopefully, it was just a bad day.

I give it three stars because the food was good once I received the right order. Our waitress we had was very nice and the young man that brought me my food but it was some of the other staff that wasn’t too friendly. I don’t know if because this is a local restaurant so they are only use to locals eating there but it was awkward stares and treatment. Or idk if it was because I’m a different ethnicity and they were shocked to see me eating in there but I won’t go back either way.

Today for lunch, my little family tried a new restaurant. We chose Emily’s Eatery in Dowell. We had the Hot Honey Cheese Balls and Mac n cheese bites as an appetizer. Highly recommend the hot honey cheese balls (they were recommended by the amazing waitress). I had a smash burger, my husband had a sandwich, and our son had the chicken tenders (our daughter had her baby food). Everything was amazing! You could tell it was all home made, cooked to perfection, and very filling. They were very family friendly, and we really enjoyed our experience there. We will be returning (even if just for the cheese balls). Highly recommend everyone give it a chance.
