When I say top notch service and delicious food, I’m referring to Embers!! Everything was great. All food was cooked to perfection, served nice and hot, well seasoned. Finger licking good . You also do get a hefty portion so enough leftovers for another meal.. Our Server (Nick-do hope I got that right), was perfect! Thanks for the pen Nick!! Definitely go to Embers Wood fire kitchen and tap. There are two Embers so make sure you pick this one with the Tap in their name.

The restaurant smells amazing. The food was good. No complaints, just didn’t think it was great. My son was impressed with the fall off the bone ribs. I was impressed with the service. Very friendly staff and the patio is dog friendly. I had both my girls with me, they were brought a small bowl of water each, as soon as we got there, and at the end of the meal, our waitress brought both of them a slice of bacon. The service alone is worth going for, next time I’ll just try something different off the menu.

Had a great first dining experience at Ember’s! The service from Todd was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from start to finish.
We ordered the woodfire pizza, which was incredibly tasty with a perfect balance of smoky flavor and fresh ingredients. The chicken fried steak was another standout, exceptionally flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. Everything about the meal and service exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be back to try the happy hour and highly recommend Ember’s to anyone looking for great food and excellent hospitality!

This was our first time dining in here, but probably not our last! After a brief wait cuz no hostess was available, our friendly server seated us and promptly took our drink order. They’ve got a pretty varied menu with lots of homestyle classics, along with their wood-fire selections. I opted for the chicken fried steak, my wife the meatloaf and my son,the salmon Florentine, mushrooms for a starter. The shrooms were plentiful, hot, had a delicious breading and ranch & gravy for dipping. My CFS was really good! Great crust that stuck to the beefy cut of meat and ok country gravy. The meatloaf was shared by my wife & daughter and they were both pleased it was served already split! It’s different though, served almost like a giant patty, with a gla,e my wife thought was too sweet, but my daughter enjoyed. The star of the show was my boy’s salmon. Everyone LOVED the spinach sauce and the wood-fired taste of the salmon! Fries were also super hot, crispy, and delicious! Only complaint was my wife’s mashed potatoes, green beans and my broccoli were all lukewarm. I heard the manager talking to a group next to us apologizing for their cold appetizers as well, so I hope they get that issue fixed. Other than that, glad we finally stopped by, and I look forward to our next visit!

We had a wonderful experience at Embers Wood Fire Grill & Tap. The build-your-own pizza was fantastic — perfectly cooked with great flavor. The All-American burger with fries was also excellent, juicy and satisfying. The beer was nice and cold, and the sweet tea was some of the best I’ve had.
Our server, Maddi, was absolutely fabulous — sweet, attentive, and made us feel very welcome without hovering. She really added to the experience.
We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Staff was friendly and accommodating, no complaints there. As for the food, mushroom appetizers were just okay on the flavor side but cooked perfectly. We ordered 2 steaks and asked for medium and medium well got medium well and well done. Flavor was just not there either. We don’t like to be wasteful and it was edible so we didn’t ask to remake it.

You can smell the food in the air as you enter the restaurant! Me and my family had some mozzarella cheese appetizers and I had a Ribeye and shrimp for my main course! Food is great and the wait is worth the while! They were short staffed and they advised us of it beforehand! Sami our waitress was very attentive and took care of us 5!

I decided to order a ribeye on Postmates for delivery. I was going to go with Saltgrass but given the icy roads I figured I’d order from somewhere closer and not have my delivery driver driving as far. The meal was $30. So just over $40 with fees and tip. I ordered a 14oz ribeye, broccoli, and a baked potato. I ordered my steak med-rare. The steak was overcooked, incredibly underseasoned, and bland. The “side” of broccoli was 3 small pieces. The potato was undercooked so it was still hard while cutting it. I understand that steak continues to cook as it rests, but this was overcooked and tough. One of the most disappointing steak meals I’ve had.

My Husband and I went to the Embers location off 1604 in San Antonio to have some drinks on a Friday evening. Our bartender was Marcus very nice and friendly. I enjoyed a chocolate martini and my husband had an old fashioned. Their music was kicking and the atmosphere was laid back.

The food was just amazing. The only issue was the steaks were a little overcooked. But overall I highly recommend this place.
