Devine food and service. The steak was the softest cut we’ve ever had and cooked to perfection. The sides were delectable, could not fault anything. It was so good we ate until we couldn’t move. The service was incredible with the friendliest staff and they even offered Toledo our food warm when we had to step away. Will be returning to Byron Bay just for this establishment. Thank you!

Had the best meal! Food was phenomenal, we shared the 1.1kg steak with greens and gratin, all of it was absolutely delicious. We also had the arancini and prawns to start and finished with the chocolate fondant. Service was excellent and the experience as a whole was great. It is on the pricey side but worth every penny

absolutely fantastic dinner for wedding anniversary
the Ember Signature Scotch Fillet steak & Lamb Rump were both faultless as was the 3 side dishes of garlic mushrooms, pear rocket & goats cheese salad & skin on rosemary chips
outstanding service combined with A+ food cooked to perfection
wonderful atmosphere and significant selection of wines and cocktails.
The place is a well oiled machine with knowledgeable & skilled staff
will definitely be back and certainly recommend a visit

Amazing meal and service here on our weekend wedding anniversary getaway in Byron. Started with cocktails and oysters and then we shared two different steaks. My favourite was the Wagyu Rump 320g 6+ MBS / 560 days grain fed Shimo. We added some sides of Truffle shallot potato gratin & seasonal greens. Wine was great too!

Beautiful venue
We were day at a table where we were elbow to elbow with the adjacent table for our anniversary dinner but after we asked to be moved it was quickly obliged
Amazing attentive service
Great drink options and the steak oh the steak is in our top steaks from around the world!
Highly recommend and will be back again when we are in Byron!

Food was really good.
Two things that we did notice could be improved:
1- when you do table booking their ask if it’s for an special occasion. In this case was my partners birthday. I was expecting a dessert or something for her.
2- closing time is 23:00 at Friday. At 22pm they starting tidying up and turned off the heating and everything. We felt that we had to leave even though it was not even 22:30. It felt colder inside the restaurant than outside. Did they turn on the AC to make us leave (?)

As expensive this restaurant is you would expect more of a quality service.

This is the second time we go there but I don’t think we will come back.

We came in for a late lunch today and had such a wonderful experience! The staff were absolutely lovely — warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was fantastic, full of flavour and beautifully presented. You can really tell they care about quality and service. Highly recommend Ember Byron Bay if you’re after a relaxed spot with great vibes and delicious food. We’ll definitely be back!

Shared a dinner on our last night in Byron with my sister. We booked at Ember and had been checking the menu the day before picking our food. After a pretty busy day visiting Crystal Castle we decided to order 4 plates of sides. The waitress did tell us most people come there to try their main meat dishes but we were not too hungry so stuck with the sides. The waitress again asked if we were sure then told us the sides are quite small. We told her we were happy with our choices and would order more of we needed it. We were pleasantly surprised when the 4 side dishes came out – pear and rocket salad, 4 cheese pasta, potato gratin and the mushrooms – and they were a great size and not as small as the waitress made them out to be. We finished all our dishes and were satisfied with the amount of food. Whilst people go there for the meat, the side dishes were delicious and well portioned! I sent compliments to the chef for the food we had!
