Solid local Italian spot for the burbs: quality pizza, pasta and apps; friendly and well intentioned service, and simple, warm decor.
My daughter and I enjoyed a nice dinner here. Their meatballs appetizer was solid, not the best ever but worth a try for sure. My daughter loved her margherita pizza and, based on my sample, portended great things for the other pizzas on the menu. Both dishes gave a nice indication of the level here, and it was definitely above average for the area.
No complaints, would definitely return.

For starters: Make a reservation. Even an early dinner on a random night poses a gamble to walk-ins. The vibe attracts a family dinner feel; the food speaks to a much higher standard of quality.
Tucked away in an unassuming shopping center off 28, this independently-owned Italian gem is not to be missed.
The boutique wine list is beautifully curated with Italian selections that each seem to have a story to tell.
Regarding the food: the pizza is a MUST; the brick oven producing a thin, crisp, and delectable pie. We ordered a Margarita but the shrimp scampi pizza stood out as one of those most unique options!
The watermelon strawberry gazpacho was a standout summer special that could not have been better executed.
This is the kind of place that surprises you in all the right ways- especially when it comes time to pay the check. The prices are unbelievably reasonable.
Looking forward to another dinner visit soon!

My favorite Neapolitan style pizza I’ve had in the area. I liked the doneness level and the taste was great without being oily.
I also really liked the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts although I would have liked a bigger portion for the price. I think overall, everything was worth the price. Service was friendly but a tad slow some of the time, as the restaurant was quite busy when we went. Will definitely be back in the future. Recommend!

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the pizza we got had raw dough and was super wet on the bottom (which is probably why the dough didn’t bake all the way.) The service was good, the gnocchi was ok. We ordered grilled olives which were good but the dish they serve it in is super hot and with the small tables my finger hit it and got a burn. They need to address that before it becomes a lawsuit. I would’ve overlooked my little burn if the pizza was good but the raw dough gave my husband a stomachache. I don’t know if this was just our bad luck but it was our experience and that’s unfortunate because I was looking forward to trying them.

I really wanted to like this place. It was an easy location to get too, plenty of parking, and they had a table for us on Valentines day, but in the end it was very disappointing and I would have rather went to a fast food restaurant. The crab dip special was good, but not great it had a significant amount of onions and not much crab. The lemonade was yummy. However, the chicken parmigiana was not very good and just tasted boring, there was not much flavor. While the pizza was lacking in taste, flavor, and cheese. Overall, it was not worth the amount of money we were charged and it is not a place we will go back. Our server was the only good thing about the place, he was kind and did well.

Food is pretty but doesn’t taste very good.
Might deserve a second chance and I’ll reevaluate after trying some other dishes.

For an authentic, Italian pizzeria, I’d say that Ema Rossi Pizzeria is great if you’re craving Italian here in Rockville. I like their vegetable plates. However, as for the main dishes and desserts, I feel that at least their salmon dish could have more vegetables added to it. Plus, the salmon itself was a bit dry. Nevertheless, it was good. As for the pistachio cake, in my opinion, it could use either some strawberries and/or rose petals to make the slice stand out. That’s me looking to add more fiber to my diet. Otherwise, I’d like to come back and give the pizza a try. I’m a sucker for brick oven pizza.
As for the service, it was nice and quick.
All in all, my boyfriend and I enjoyed coming here. We hope to come back and try more dishes here.

Food is okay, little over priced for mediocre quality, service is great collective and responsive, ambience is lovely. However ordered salmon with asparagus, it didn’t have any asparagus, I didn’t want to complain, service as mentioned was nice. Brussels were damp not crunchy, cauliflower were steamed without much flavor. Their pistachio cake needed some fruit to balance texture.
