Beautiful French cafe with good food and ambiance. 4 of us had brunch and the total came to almost 70$. I loved the decor and the servers were really nice. The place was packed even in -19° c outside so its reputation precedes the name. Very cosy but it can get loud because of how many people are inside at a time.

The onion soup was great, I also tried the Prime Rib sandwich and although it was good, I found it to be too onion forward for a meat sandwich. The potato Gnocchi was ok, I thought it needed more seasoning. Sweet potato fries were also good and crispy. I would not order the oysters again since they did not feel so fresh.

Elysian Cafe is beautifully designed and quite cozy with strong European vibes. The cheeseburger is literally one of the best I’ve ever had. Juicy, high quality, perfect. The sirloin steak salad is fresh and healthy and the steak is tender and full of flavor.

My son’s lobster salad was so delicious, he ordered a second one.

All around, this is a fabulous restaurant with a gorgeous ambiance. Can’t go wrong by eating here. End your meal with a cappuccino.

I had dinner here last night and absolutely loved the vibe. It instantly transported me back to Paris, from the charming decor to the cozy, romantic atmosphere. I had been missing the City of Light, and for a few sweet moments, I truly felt like I was back there.

The staff was lovely, especially our waitress, who was warm, attentive, and made the evening even more special.
I ordered the French onion soup and the roasted chicken, both were delicious. The soup was rich and comforting, with that perfect cheesy top, and the chicken was tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

It was the perfect late afternoon into early evening meal, calm , delightful, and filled with that understated elegance only a true French-inspired café can offer.

Will definitely be coming back. Merci, Elysian!

Very good (overcooked) steak, but perturbed by the fruits – bring more potatoes and push peppercorn or shallot sauce rather than ketchup. Dry potatoes and dry toast – where is the french bread? Would expect a bit better for the price (20USD).

We went for happy hour this afternoon. Benny the bartender was outstanding my martini and wife’s Aperol were perfect. We had a nice charcuterie which Benny recommended. The cheese and meats were outstanding. A while ago we had brunch at this restaurant. It was our first happy hour. The atmosphere was relaxed. Overall, we had a great experience Highly recommend

Kids eat free on Tuesdays – what!?!? We just learned this. Aside from that bonus tidbit, this is place you’ll want to come if you’re looking for super reasonably priced incredibly delicious food, and the most amazing historical atmosphere. It is the oldest continually operated bar and restaurant in the city; the original looking ceiling and wall murals speak to the history.

The grilled chicken sandwich and burger are our go tos. Their fries are ALWAYS fantastic (hot, crisp on outside, soft inside).

We don’t like to sit in the back room because all seats seem too close to the bathroom, but that’s just us. Summertime the patio is the way to go (in the shade).

Oh and the music they play is always fun. Last time was 90s/2000s – great playlist.

I just happened to walk by this place last night and it was packed…. I decided to try it for lunch and it did not disappoint! I had the 1/2 prime rib sandwich with a cup of French Onion soup… Both excellent! I told the waiter it was excellent… and he noted that they are always full with their ‘regular’ customers… which is a good sign!

I’ll be back!
