Elvira’s offers beautiful ambiance and warm hospitality from the moment you walk in. The high ceilings, glowing chandeliers, and sun-inspired wall art create a cozy, inviting atmosphere—perfect for a relaxed meal or a special night out. The dining room feels spacious yet intimate, with comfortable seating and thoughtful decor throughout.
We started with chips and salsa, which arrived fresh and warm. The salsa had a nice roasted flavor with a little kick. The food at Elvira’s is tasty overall, with generous portions and great seasoning. Our main dishes were delicious. The enchiladas with rice and beans were full of flavor and very satisfying, and the taco salad came in a crisp shell packed with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The sauces on the side added even more flavor without being overwhelming.
The only thing I wish is that they sold agua fresca at this location, as it would pair perfectly with the food.

Elvira’s absolutely knocked it out of the park for us.
I ordered the taco salad, and it was one of those dishes that makes you pause before eating because it just looks that good. The tortilla bowl was golden, crisp, and perfectly shaped, holding a mountain of fresh lettuce, melty shredded cheese, bright pico de gallo, creamy guacamole, and a generous dollop of sour cream. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, soaking into the layers below just enough to give every bite depth without turning the shell soggy.
My partner went with the fajita burrito, and the moment it hit the table we both noticed how beautifully it was plated. The beef was just as tender as mine — juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked exactly right — the kind of texture you only get when the kitchen really knows what it’s doing.
The service sealed the deal. Our server, Irma, was attentive,
and genuinely kind. When we asked about chicharrones, she didn’t hesitate and made it happen for us on the side, a small thing that turned into a big highlight.
Inside, the restaurant feels very polished, well-appointed décor that makes it perfect for either a casual meal or a special night out.
Elvira’s isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place you’ll want to come back to. This was the kind of meal you keep thinking about on the drive home.

I went around 3 PM on August 1st, 2025 and I loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful and it’s like Cancun was brought right to my front door. The atmosphere was pretty nice and the service was stellar. The restaurant is just a nice place to be. I was so surprised when they brought out bare avocados and made the guacamole right in front of me. I had a Chile verde burrito and it was delicious. The portion sizes were more than generous. I am still working on leftovers for 2 days now! Pictures of the food do not do it justice. If you want an upper-class dining experience that serves Mexican food, this is the place. I could not have been more pleased.

My first time here, indoor and outdoor patio seating under lights, will be back to have drinks and appetizers on the patio. The decor is so authentic Mexico, dia de lid muertos sculptures amazing lighted moons and stars, carved wood seating in waiting area. The decor and atmosphere are absolutely beautiful. Now we’re seated and the excellent servers take front stage. Cadillac Margarita, spicy cucumber margarita- amazing! We ordered the fresh guacamole made table side to your desired spiciness, so recommend! It! ordered combination plates and a grilled chicken fajita salad, The salad was assembled table side, sizzling chicken and veggies, fresh citrus dressing, out of this world. The food and drinks were! outstanding! I will be back!

I went here today for a birthday celebration and it was AMAZING.
Our server was wonderful,

And the bathrooms were clean and done well.

Had dinner at Elvira’s Mexican Grill in Claremont for my friend’s birthday, and everything was fantastic! We both had the chicken, shrimp, and steak fajitas — they came out sizzling hot with rice, beans, and plenty of tortillas. The whipped salsa and guacamole were fresh and full of flavor, and the drinks (Cadillac Margarita and passion fruit cocktail) were just right.
Mario was an excellent server — friendly, attentive, and professional. The patio was beautiful with heaters and fire pits, and the interior décor was absolutely stunning with colorful art and Mexican sculptures.
Only small downside: we weren’t told guacamole and sour cream were an extra charge, and the drinks had a little too much ice. But overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a perfect evening. Highly recommend!

I didn’t even know this place existed. We were on our way from Palm Springs when I asked my wife to find us a place to eat before we went home. I’m glad she chose this place. First of all, it was Cinco de Mayo so the restaurant was decorated with all the festivities. It was very big inside and the once again the artwork, the vibe, the whole place just gave off a good feeling. We ordered our drinks and they came out fast but before I tell you about the drinks, the chips and salsa were some of the best I’ve ever had. The salsa tasted like it was homemade with just right amount of spice. Our drinks were next, a Paloma and a Cadillac margarita both made with Don Julio blanco. They were strong and got the job done. When I tell you that the food showed up hot, smelling good and looking good. The chicken flautas I ordered were fried to perfection and the toppings they used were a nice addition. We got the carne asada tostada bowl, shrimp wrap with rice and beans. Nothing disappointed. Don’t sleep on this place. You won’t be disappointed. I’ll be going back. For sure.
