It smells when you walk in…does Somerton not have Food Safety or Health Safety? Their bakery has a very limited selection and their restaurant is next to it…smells like old dirty oil…super pricey and not worth it at all. I know some people are desperate for Mexican bread but not worth your $.

Ordered a tres leches cake for my sons birthday and when I picked it up, the woman couldn’t find it and then when she finally did the cake plastic container it was in was all broken and leaking and the cake itself looked so plain and horrible. The writing was scribbled on and you could barely read what it said. $50 for this small cake. I should have just went to Food City. I added the decorations myself to it. The pan is good but don’t order a cake from here.

Went to bakery to get certain pastry but they were sold out. Decided to get something else since we drove a ways to get there. Picked up a donut and some cookies and a different pastry than what we came for and were delighted! Wow! Loved everything and will be back! Cookies were giant size and reminded me of what my Aunt used to make – so good! Thank You!!!

I stop here early in the mornings for coffee and a donut, I’ve tried their conchas and a variety of donuts. The employees are usually busy in the mornings but they often stop what they are doing to attend the line if there is ever any. I like this panaderia, maybe I’ll try some more stuff.

I was excited to try their tamales since I’m new here in Yuma AZ, customer service was HORRIBLE!!! The cashier made me feel uncomfortable with such an attitude towards me and even in the phone call I made prior to make sure I can order for pick up. I ordered a dozen of tamales and I am disappointed not only from the customer service but the taste is 5/10!

Good prices. Good customer service. Lots of selection of fresh pastries, breads. They have a dining area with a cafeteria style line that offers phone ahead ordering to go or a full sit down restaurant. No table service. Pass through the line order your food, get your food, sit down at the tables, enjoy your meal, bus your table, very nice setup. It’s a little hidden gem.

I don’t always eat at Evira’s Bakery, but when I am in Somerton I do! By far the best pastries and breakfast in Yuma. The ladies are helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well kept. The restaruant is comfortable to sit with family and enjoy a wonderful meal that is affordable and authentic. I was in Yuma for a long weekend and ate at Elviras Bakery every day and the day we left, we fill a box of pastries to take home. Evira’s is always a stop when in Yuma/Somerton.
