We came in from Orange County and found this absolutely delicious gem! Everything was so good and made with care. I had the street tacos and they were so fresh and the homemade tortillas were delicious. The rice was amazing. Others in my party had the papusas (delicious), the carne asada enchilada(amazing) and a burrito. Also, those who like spice the very hot salsa delivers! Its a great story and great food. We will go again before we go home, wishing there was one closer!

I got drawn here because of some deals, and it was so worth it! I’ve been in IV for a short time, but this is my favorite spot so far. Nice big menu with things I don’t often find, like tamales, pupusas, and an actually spicy salsa option (for anyone else into that). Nicely filling for the money I spent. Functional but welcoming outdoor seating.

First time eating Guatemalan food and it was delicious! Between the people in our family we seemingly tried everything on the menu and it was all good. Elubia was in the kitchen cooking and she was so sweet and wanted to be sure we liked our meal. The fact that everything is gluten free was a huge bonus for our family (celiac) but even without that we agree it was a delicious dinner. FYI our google map had us park around the corner at the market and kept routing us to the market.

I ordered three pupusa revueltas and I won’t be coming back. The pupusas are big but these are the worst revueltas I’ve ever tasted. The pupusas were mainly watery beans and full of big pieces of fat. I literally had to take apart the pupusas and pick out these pieces. I have been eating and cooking pupusas my entire life and this is not at all how pupusas revueltas should be prepared. Maybe because this place is in Isla Vista, they feel they can get away with such a low quality dish but I am very frustrated that I drove in from Santa Barbara and spent my money on this. I’m new to the area and was looking for a pupuseria and unfortunately, I will be crossing this place off my list. On top of the bad pupusas, they only packed 2 small things of curtido and one tiny red salsa. I ordered three pupusas and should have been given enough curtido/salsa for all three. I ate the food because I had already paid for it and won’t waste but seriously, y’all know 100% that this is not how pupusas revueltas should taste. Giving 2/5 stars because at least the dough was well cooked and the curtido was delicious.

Delicious food! As someone with a gluten allergy and loves latin fusion foods it’s incredibly hard to find a place that even sells a gluten free option. The burrito is amazing along with the guacamole! All gluten free!

Great food, gluten-free but you would never know. We had tacos, chicken quesadilla, papusas and a burrito, and it was the best Mexican food we’ve had in California thus far.

The food here is so good. I would go here over any other Mexican restaurant (they have great dishes from other Central American countries too) My wife has celiacs so not having to worry about cross contamination was nice. The owner greeted us from the kitchen when we were ordering and I think it’s pretty cool to be able to see a businesses where the owner is there working with their staff.

Amazing dedicated gluten free menu for me being totally GF, but my entire family loved it! Vegan options were numerous as well. Potatoe pupusas and potato taquitos were delicious

What a happy discovery for my wife and I!
Our pupusas were perfect, the curtido was the best I’ve ever tasted and the salsa roja was spot on!
The atmosphere inside was very nice and the staff and the owner could not have been nicer! This restaurant is a true gem!
Next time we are back in the area, we are for sure coming back!
