Very beautiful place, decorations and most of all music. Food was pretty good but I went hungry and forgot to take pictures but I had the Philly steak with fries and my hottie had a patty melt with loaded fries (cheese plus bacon). After dinner sat on a swing a talked about how 18 years have flown by and date nights only get better. Thank you Elsewhere for the cozy experience for our love story

We stumbled upon this charming spot completely by chance while wandering around the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, and it turned out to be such a delightful find! The place has a laid-back, outdoorsy vibe with these lovely swings you can sit on while you enjoy a drink. They even have a nice playground, which was perfect because our son got to play while we relaxed.
We ordered some food, and it was honestly surprisingly good and very affordable. The chicken tenders we got were huge—each one was basically the size of a chicken breast, so the portion was definitely enough for two or three people. We also tried the chicken buffalo sandwich, which was another generous portion with a full chicken breast as the patty. And the strawberry lemonade was super refreshing and delicious.
All in all, it was a great little unexpected pit stop, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend it if you’re strolling the Riverwalk and want a relaxed, family-friendly place to hang out.

Great place to hang out with friends, grab a bite to eat, socialize, and listen to music. Friday and Saturday nights are all the way live. It’s such a great addition to the community. Check their website for events happening Monday-Sunday. There’s a whole lot going on and will keep you entertained.
We ordered food from Elsewhere Kitchen and got the Impossible Not A Burger, it was pretty good. Loved the spicy brown mustard. And the Nashville Chicken Sandwich was amazing. Loved the red bell peppers and the Nashville Oil & Dust. Delicious.
The surrounding area is beautiful, especially at night. It’s perfect for couples who enjoying holding hands while taking a stroll. The twinkle lights, sounds of nature, and music sets the perfect tone. Or, if you just want to sit and relax, sip and beer and take in the scenery, Elsewhere has these cute swing chairs that give a perfect view over-looking the river.

We were visiting and saw the reviews so stopped by on a Friday night. It has a huge outdoor space. Lots of seating- fire throwers- dog friendly and the adult lemonades are a must. Most drinks are pretty pricey anyways and for $17 you actually get a buzz after one or two. The watermelon one was delicious. I don’t like super sweet and this one had lots of flavor. I think everything is wine based though so don’t order the margarita. It was awful. Super sweet. Could not drink it! Everything else was great though. Didn’t get to try the food though. Parking was hard to find but garage parking was only $8 for two hours. Not bad! Bartender was very friendly!

I was told by a few locals to come check out this place. I wanted a good spot to go to that was off the river trail and walk around to a few different spots. You’d actually get confused with a name like “E” and not be sure where you’re going, but as soon as I got there, I’m glad I didn’t start just anywhere other than Elsewhere. This place has a great vibe. I would definitely call it more of a younger crowd, as I went in the evening. Plenty of different options for food and drinks and places to explore. They had a live DJ playing, and it looked like a bunch of other different entertainment. I got there later, but it was still lively. You could see that some vendors were shutting down, but there were still some still going. As I walked off the river trail, it’s right there where you’re able to walk in either direction to continue exploring San Antonio and the river trail further. I would tell anyone to go to this space and try it out for yourself. I’m glad I went and would go again when I’m in the area.

Nice hang out spot for some drinks! They had hookahs you could get and we went on a Friday when they had the fire dancer which was awesome to watch! Food and drinks were really good and strong drinks but kinda pricey…

My first time to Elsewhere, the vibe was on point. I went to have a frozen strawberry margarita when I met Matt, the bartender he was the sweetest, great customer service gave me details on holiday drinks they have and Oh My Gosh my drink hit! I was good for the night! You’ve got to have this drink!
This place Elsewhere is great for picture taking, girl time even date night fun. I can’t wait to go back!

Elsewhere is a pretty chill place. Nice photo opportunities throughout the property. The bartenders are always nice, polite and professional. They have a lot to choose from. Beer, Seltzer, Wine in a bag that I believe they make which is very good btw. They also have Sabe Moscow Mule which is my fave and wine.
I do have a few suggestions. First being to have someone walk the area periodically. It doesn’t look like they have a manager working at that location, but there was a highly inebriated homeless guy asking people for money last we saw he was passing out watching the band as we were leaving. Not a good look. Half an hour later he was next door asking customers for money. When I told him he needs to leave he got a little irate. Fortunately an employee came up and escorted him out. The guy started to get lippy with him too.
I do agree with others in that the music there is not that good. I’ve also noticed no one really pays attention to whoever is performing. Usually a band on Sunday or a guy doing solo karaoke (music loop) etc. Personally I’d just pipe some music through the venue that goes with the vibe there.
Lastly I would get a large rubber mat for the sliding board exit. A few of the kids were flying out of there and barefoot too. There’s also a slight drop off a few feet from it. Maybe soften it up a bit with artificial turf. Always good to be proactive these days. Just takes one fall and then the phone starts ringing and a lawsuit follows.
Personally we highly recommend It there. Good crowd and vibe.

Excellent vibes. Lots of space for a downtown establishment. A little weird and that food and drinks have to be ordered at different windows, but not a detraction of the overall field. Easy access to the Riverwalk and excellent live music. Lots of beer choices. The dogs being welcome was an added bonus that really livened the experience. We will be back.

Stopped here after exploring the Riverwalk. Such a cool spot! We got a couple of beers, one of them suggested by the server, which was just right. Then we sat in the swings by the overlook. Such a fun area! There are multiple areas to sit, some to be enjoyed by a crowd, some more intimate. There’s a slide for the kids, multiple fire pits, and a lot of great photo op spots. Then we got a bite to eat. The Caesar salad was huge! And the “most popular” bacon and cheese waffle fries were delicious. Service was friendly and timely. There’s also complimentary water for both humans and K-9s, and a dessert shed with cookies and ice cream in various combinations. It was a great place to relax and enjoy people watching and good food. We would definitely go again.
