This place was absolutely incredible. The workers were super friendly and treated us like family. They walked us throug the whole entire menu to figure out what would be best for my family to eat.
Its so rich in history also in culture. They have maintained a beautiful quality of service, fresh the food, and community.
I will definitely come back!

So glad we drove further to go here for a breakfast burrito instead of a chain. I got the Egg Breakfast Burrito and added Chorizo. Not greasy at all but still flavorful! A little red sauce which each bite….amazing. My mom got the Chili Relleno Burro. She loved the chili relleno inside, the pepper was thick and the cheese was soft even after driving it home. A local overheard we were visiting and mentioned he’d been going since he was across the street in high school and now he’s taking his son! The cashier was super friendly, helpful and even gave us a serving of chips on the house since we mentioned we were first timers. Will definitely come back when in town!

They make one of the best bean and cheese burritos in town. They are the only ones who do m chips with shredded cold cheese. But for some reason, it’s amazing and I can’t get enough.. I think it all starts with their salsa and how good it is. Their cone that are basically rolled up fried tacos are so great! They’re crispy tacos might be my favorite and honestly I just love their prices and their vibe. They’re very family friendly.

Elmer’s Tacos in Chandler is an absolute gem.
I’ve been to plenty of taco spots around the Valley, but Elmer’s just hits different. Every location has that classic, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a local tradition — because you are.
The carne asada is on another level: perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. And the double decker taco? Honestly, it blew me away. It’s the kind of taco that makes you stop mid‑bite and just appreciate life for a second. Crunchy, soft, cheesy, savory — everything working together like it was engineered for happiness.
If you’re anywhere near Chandler and craving real-deal tacos, Elmer’s is the move. Total must‑try.

This long-standing, local taco joint has been a staple of many students from the high school across the street no doubt, as many of them keep coming back years later and the food hasn’t changed, prices, barely. They say they have the best bean and cheese burritos and I witnessed more than a few people order them in the short time I was there.

Elmer’s has really been missing the mark for me lately. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years — ever since I was a kid — and it’s always been my go-to spot for bean and cheese burritos. Recently I started ordering the cheese enchiladas too, but over the past several visits the care and quality have noticeably gone downhill.
Today was just another example. I ordered my bean and cheese burrito extra crispy, but it came out like a normal burrito with no crispiness at all. I didn’t think much of it at first, so I didn’t take a picture. Then I moved on to the enchiladas and realized they were cold — not just lukewarm, but very cold. After looking closer, I honestly don’t think they were cooked properly. The cheese wasn’t melted in any way.
This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but with problems like this happening more and more often, I can’t recommend it anymore. I really hope things improve, because I’d love to enjoy a good meal from Elmer’s again.
Update: I tried calling the restaurant to let them know about the uncooked enchiladas, and the experience was just as frustrating as the food itself. My call was answered, but the phone was immediately put down while the employee spoke to another customer. I waited on the line for about three minutes before hanging up. When I tried calling back, I got a busy signal.
Later, I called again and was told to hold. When I was finally helped, I was offered either a refund or credits toward a future order.

This place is amazing! The food is fresh and tasted home made. I tried a little bit of everything on the menu, pastor and asada tacos, burrito cone (definitely a favorite), red chili beef burrito, and taquitos. I shared all this with the wife. Staff was friendly and welcoming and you can tell this is one of the local spots that cares about what they serve. Definitely coming back and recommending this place to my friends!

Amazing! Been coming since I was a kid. A Chandler staple. Love that it’s family run and everything is delicious – carne asada burro, bean and cheese burrito, mini chimis, shredded beef and potato tacos, chips and strips! affordable too & they give back to the community.

We love Elmer’s and finally feel we have found an authentic restaurant. My daughter loves the Caren asada fries and the pork Al pastor burrito. I enjoy the bean and cheese burrito and the chicken burritos. You really cannot go wrong. I love supporting the owners – again they are wonderful.
