I had the eggs Benedict and French toast. And my son had the southern Cross omelette and it was spot on!!!! The restaurant looked clean and the waitresses were well groomed and very friendly. They asked all the right questions and very attentive. The only thing I seen was that the back wall behind the grill needs to be clean other than that I would eat here anytime I’m in town!

Spent a few days in town and this is the first place we went. Classic diner feel. Staff was friendly and service was great. Food came out in a timely manner and was good. Ordered a sandwich that was delicious. Will def visit here again on my next visit into town.

The food was ok, nothing to rave about. The waitress was great and our food was served quickly. What I didn’t like was the building is old and well used and very noticeable. The bathroom was another story. If I had went in there before I ordered I may not have stayed.

Good home cooked food. Friendly staff. We enjoyed Zachary’s burger that came with steak fries and coleslaw, and hot meatloaf sand which with homemade mashed potatoes – and while it comes with coleslaw, I asked for applesauce and it was homemade chunky goodness. We also decided on dessert. Yum on everything!

Most excellent lunch – I had their autumn salad. Juicy grilled chicken, crunchy bacon, granny smith apples, craisans, walnuts, spinach, Romain lettuce, and blue cheese crumbles with a caramel vinaigrette. Best salad I’ve ever had! Other dishes I’ve tried include the beef stew, hot beef sandwich, and an omelet. All items were freshly made and you can tell! Thanks Elmer’s staff and chefs! We’ll be back!!

This is a super popular restaurant in Escanaba. I am in the minority that doesn’t like it. There are much better places for fish, soup, and steaks. Service is top notch but food is 3 star

Hometowns are special places, and Elmer’s is the pride of the community. The owners have a long standing tradition of supporting the community. Prices are very fair and the hometown feel is very real. You might find some place to save you a dime, but you won’t find a better place to shop!
