We stopped in at the Elmer Diner for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. It’s a classic New Jersey diner with both counter and table service. The menu is extensive and features all the standard diner staples. I ordered the French Onion Soup, which was excellent, and the Amish-Style Roast Beef—sliced roast beef served over bread stuffing with mashed potatoes. The dish was very good and generously portioned.
My wife had the Chicken Salad Plate, which was also quite large and satisfying. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with staff greeting many regulars by name. There’s plenty of parking available, making it an easy and enjoyable stop.

Went on a whim with a friend while running errands in the area. Got a mini meal that was anything but! Delicious and huge. Server was sweet and the clientele just as nice.

I recently just moved to the area(Elmer) 2 friends and I went to the diner for dinner tonight, 3/3/2026. They brought out a bowl of soup, chicken Florentine, and it had a small worm in it! I don’t recommend coming to eat here at all!

We have been passing this diner for 20 years while traveling back and forth and somehow never stopped here. We were hungry on our way, so we called and placed a pick up order. Out of this world!!! We got the pork roll, egg, and cheese on a bagel, and it was phenomenal! The pork roll was sliced thick with two pieces on the sandwich. It came with fries, which were also pretty good. This is now our go-to when we’re traveling.

First time here. The food portions are insanely good for the price. The servers are very sweet. I had the dinner special, chicken stuffed with cheddar broccoli and it was SLAMMING. Seasoned well and comes out piping hot. Onion rings were the perfect crunch and the battered fries were also good. 10/10 and would return. Giant slices of cake and desserts too! the leprachaun cake is great!!! ❣️

Charming old school Jersey diner with amazing prices. We stopped in and both got dinner specials. The portions were huge, and we got soup, salad, and dessert! My husband had chicken fried steak dinner special, with vegetable and a baked potato, and I had the chicken parm special with pasta. My dinner was two giant cutlets of chicken parm and a large bowl of pasta! I brought half home to feed my teenage son. Awesome spot and we will be back for breakfast soon. Great staff and really friendly patrons.

Another great visit to the here. Enjoyed the lamb gyro- one of the best I’ve had in a while, it came with fries and a cup of soup. Seems like you could get a different vegetable. Family enjoyed the pancakes and sausage. Would prefer no powdered sugar. Picture of gyro after one bite -They have grits! Everyone in my party was happy with their meal. Fast, kind service.

Excellent typical jersey diner. The food was phenomenal. Was very fresh tasting service was awesome. Our waitress was sweet and funny. Everything came out beyond hot and fresh. The order was perfectly completed. We had a mix of breakfast and lunch and everything was awesome. I strongly recommend one of a better diners in this area.

Best scrapple preparation process. Small cubes fried to perfection. If you live scrapple and are in the South Jersey area. It’s a must try! Great environment for family experiences.
