Elm City Social evokes the spirit of the 1920s, bringing back to life the craftwork of cocktails that has been lost until now. In the kitchen, Chef John Brennan draws you in with seasonally inspired menus that can only be described as “comfort food with a flavorful twist.” People love our style; we were even named one of the Best New Restaurants by Connecticut Magazine. We’re located inside the historic building that once housed Kasey’s Restaurant in the early 1900’s. By the corner of Chapel and College Streets, we’re situated across the street from the famed Shubert Theater and just off the New Haven Green.

We had a wonderful brunch at Elm City. Our server was very sweet and attentive. The lobster doughnuts were incredible. I had the lobster Benedict. The rest of our group had the steaks and eggs and the scrambled lobster eggs. All were delicious. The bloody Mary’s with deviled eggs hit the spot. The breakfast shot (Jameson /butterscotch ) came with an on chaser an some crisp bacon. Fantastic brunch and looking forward to going back to try different dishes !

First time my family i to visit this beautiful place. The food was amazingly delicious, perfect portion for breakfast. This place is beautiful inside out very hygiene, the bathrooms spotless including the sitting tables etc. The manager ( Jairo ) in this location gave us a beautiful tour inside and upstairs Tiki rooftop amazing. Thank You Jairo for going above and beyond with a great customer experience. Thank you kindly we will visit this location again soon!

We ordered fried mushrooms, but where are the mushrooms? There was more batter than mushroom. Waiter was inattentive. Drinks were decent. This place is slacking.

We had tacos, we had sliders we had drinks. Couldn’t tell what was what with the tacos or sliders but they were good, so were the drinks. Loved the wall decor with the duck, nice hang out spot.

Visited this gem a week ago and had a great time. Staff was the best and food and drinks were on point. The best thing about this place is the service. I left my credit card at the establishment and I do live in another state. Called them and the manager was more than happy to overnight my credit card back to me as I am traveling in a couple of days. I received my card today and don’t know how to express my gratitude. Thanks to all the staff!!! If you are in the area DO check them out.

The service and the food was amazing. For starters, they accidentally kept us booked for the Agave Lab, even though someone had rented it out for the day. But because I drove 3 hours, Carolyn allowed my date and I to still get the experience. Another shoutout goes to my server Kyron (spellcheck) who provided excellent service. But lastly I can’t forget the night manager (a Latino/Hispanic fellow whose name escapes me at the moment) who comped our drinks and let us indulge is some of the appetizers/shareables, for which we enjoyed a lot. Thank you all for making our time at Elm City amazing.
