If you find yourself in Appleton, you’ve got to check out Elinor! This adorable little restaurant is small (only 33 seats!) but packs a big punch when it comes to charm.
We had a reservation and had to wait just a smidge for our table, but let me tell you—it was totally worth it! We kicked things off with the chef’s choice popcorn, and wow, what a fun appetizer! It’s such a neat idea and super tasty.
For my main dish, I went with the short ribs, and they were cooked to absolute perfection. My husband chose the halibut, which was flaky and delicious—definitely a winner!
And dessert? Oh my goodness, we had the butterscotch pots de crème, and it was out of this world! Seriously, you have to try it.
With 15 years in the industry, I was truly amazed and blown away by the quality and care put into every dish. What really made our experience special was the owner. You could tell he genuinely cares about his restaurant and his staff—he was always checking in to see if they needed anything. It’s that kind of vibe that makes you want to come back!

Ellinor is a small spot with a really intimate, cozy atmosphere. We ordered pizza and it was absolutely delicious… perfectly cooked with great flavor and a solid crust. You can tell they care about quality. Simple, welcoming, and a great place to enjoy good food. We’ll definitely be back.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Ellinor. Great atmosphere, service and the food was so delicious. If we were not from out of town we would be regulars. We had the duck and trout. We donor get a picture of the oyster, popcorn or desserts but every bite was so good.

Quiet escape to a phenomenal restaurant. Wife and I went for a date night and were very glad we did. The appetizer was amazing and the main dishes we had were some of the best we ever had. The salted caramel ice cream with espresso dessert was a very nice surprise as well as I had never considered anything like that before, so we even got some ice cream to take home to remake it at home! We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Finally booked a reservation to have dinner in the dining room after thinking about it for a while. Well worth it. Excellent food – popcorn and wings were a yummy treat. The cous cous was a mix of flavors I thoroughly enjoyed, and the pizza dough was clearly prepared with love. But the prime ribeye was the star of the night. Incredibly tender with a lovely sear, it cut like butter. Made for a wonderful night out. Would come back for the ribeye alone!

If I could give a bigger rating I would. Hands down the best food i have ever consumed. I’ve been wanting to come here forever and finally made it and was the best decision ever. The place was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing and staff was amazing. I had the bone marrow and striped bass and butterscotch pot de creme my husband had the roasted cauliflower the ribeye and the affogato. We shared of coarse and it was all so beautiful and tasted wonderful. Seriously my new favorite place. If you haven’t tried this gem do it now you will thank me later.
