For a “girl’s weekend” we decided to try a new to us, restaurant. Upon entering this limited seating establishment we were delightfully surprised. A couple who were regulars, next to us made some wonderful recommendations. I started with the house salad and house made Apple Cider Vinegarette, then had their cedar planted salmon. It was moist, done to perfection and extremely flavorful, probably due to cooking on the cedar plank and was seasoned perfectly. For dessert we had Creme Brulee. It was smoothe, rich and tasty.
I can’t wait to share my experience and plan my next drive back.
They also had three kind of sangria. Each sounded better the the previously mentioned one.
Give your taste buds a treat and go to the Elkhouse Eatery. I highly recommend this place.

Everything Everyone Said! 10+ stars for the Staff, the Food and the Atmosphere!
We had the bruschetta to start, and salmon and special steak filet as entrees, along with the white sangria.
Go for a great night out!

We came in close to closing time and were greeted so cheerfully. We were able to get a table and knew it would be a quick meal. Our incredible server Kelly was the best part of our experience with the atmosphere being the second best. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials for the day. She was very attentive, excellent personality and made our experience extraordinary. We chose the restaurant based on having a different menu. We ordered the fried gator tail which was a delicious combo of flavors and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the tuna tarare tower. We enjoyed the flavors though I prefer the tuna a little more chunky. I love onions, but the guac did have too much taking away from the tuna flavor. Just a small suggestion. For our main entrees we tried the special duck which was the most perfect duck I’ve ever tasted. It was cooked medium rare but had this nice Smokey and sweet flavor with a perfect little crisp to the outside. Whoever the cook was, knew exactly what he was doing. Hats off to the chef! The second main was Seafood Cioppino. It came with muscles, clams, shrimp, scallops and shrimp. The seafood was cooked perfectly with a nice flavor and not dried out like most places. The linguine was also cooked perfect. My favorite part was the red sauce and I don’t even like red sauce most times. It had a perfect balance of flavor, nothing too overpowering and a great balance with the seafood. To top it off it came with fresh ciabatta bread which was a great touch. We really enjoyed our meal and would return here to try other menu options. We each got draft beef and admired their wine menu though we weren’t feeling wine. Overall this was a great experience especially since we were a last minute customer. Thank you for a special meal and Kelly if there were more servers like you, we’d eat out a lot more!

The Elkhouse Eatery in Crescent Beach is hands-down our favorite restaurant to visit when we’re in town! It’s first come, first serve which says a lot because people are always willing to wait, and for good reason.
We especially love our go-to waiter, Mark! He consistently gives us the best service, remembers us every time, and truly makes each visit special. That said, every server we’ve encountered has been warm, professional, and attentive.
The food is out of this world better than any restaurant we’ve been to. The nightly specials are always creative and delicious, and they never disappoint. From appetizers to dessert, every dish is flavorful, fresh, and made with care.
We make it a point to eat here at least twice during every visit its just that good. If you’re in the Crescent Beach area, do yourself a favor and make The Elkhouse a top priority

So LOUD!! Please fix this by putting some stuff on the walls. We are in our early 30s with good hearing so I cannot imagine what your older population has to say about this. Ruins the experience especially if you have a large group inside. Great food! The waiter was a little too laid back for my taste but did a good job serving us.

Our son took us here for dinner. We shared that nights appetizer which was elk tips in a mushroom gravy. Very good. Our son, daughter-in-law and my wife all had the salmon on the cedar plank. It looked amazing and I liked that the server asked how done they all wanted the salmon. I had the hangar steak with the Israeli couscous. The steak was a little chewy and not cut and served as thin as other hangar steaks I’ve had. After trying the couscous, I should have ordered a different side. This restaurant is a bit of a distance from the main part of St.. Augustine, but definitely worth the trip. A very comfortable restaurant with a very nice menu. The chef and kitchen know how to cook!

The elk tenderloins were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented with a flavorful mushroom demi-glace. Mashed were fab. The caesar may have been the best I’ve had in 5 yrs; cold bite size romaine with a dressing hinting of just enough anchovies. Great wine and beer selection BUT no hard liquor. Branzino was a dish to remember with perfectly cooked asparagus on the side. NO bread. Place was packed and tables are tight but no more than most restaurants in NYC. Noise level is midrange. Tony, our Portugese waitperson , was delightful/knowledgeable.
Don’t be in a rush; it doesn’t work here. NO reservations.
2/5/26 last visit before heading home. White and black ahi tuna was an absolute delight and nicely priced. Couldn’t eat it all. Got hand cut fries which I thoroughly enjoyed. Apple pie always is the best. Thank you, sweet Trulanie, for another fab experience. PS- great meeting your sons,Trevor and Dillon.

This is our first time dining in here. The service is pretty good. My entree bronzino wasn’t fresh, I tried to eat it first… I shared some with people in my party and they could not eat it either. I ended up ordering a bowl of soup so I could eat with them. I ended up paying for both. The other entrees were good, the waiter is polite and attentive, he explained that the chef was the one who prepared the fish and he said “there is not anything wrong with my bronzino”. I heard the waiter say to the next table that there was no bronzino left so I suspect I got the last one of their current supply. The appetizer gator tail was very chewy too. Chocolate cake was good.
Ps. I go out for dinner on weekly basis, I been to over 1000 restaurants across the globe. This was the second time I sent food back.

Really great little place to eat n drink. Not a lot of tables, but the bar is sufficient and beautiful. Three big chalk boards highlight the beer n wine selections. Menu is extremely original and everything I’ve had here is delicious.
Super friendly staff and easy parking. Little hard to see from the road. Great atmosphere. Love sitting outside.
Been back numerous times. Added some more food photos. Wish they had a wheat beer on tap. Food is phenomenal as always.
