The atmosphere was very nice outdoorsy with all the animals. It looked awesome! Tvs to watch, pool table and music in their thur bike night. Highly recommend! Hidden gem.

I have not yet eaten here however I did stop in one night and met a few people and had a few beers and felt a great vibe here and would certainly recommend others to stop in and have a few and enjoy the crowd and get to know somd folks and share a few stories together.

This place welcomes bikers (bicycles and motorcycles). It was just a few blocks off of the North Central State trail. The owner Jim, bartender Jody, and the customers were super friendly. They love dogs.
Our beers were cold. We only wanted a little something to eat as we were biking. The 1/2 lb. of smelt was perfectly done and so tasty. Smelt is a rare find and was the perfect protein punch.
A shout out to Irwin Haskell for the history!

1/3 pound burger? I think more like a kids burger from McDonald’s. Order of fries, again children’s portion. Service was slow. Bowl of soup was more like broth with a bone in it. What happened to this place? Do yourself a favor and head up to the Thirsty Sturgeon.

A perfect Up North bar! Decorated accordingly. The food was great, quick, and generous portions. Great selection and reasonable prices at the bar. I had the french dip which was so good (they even toasted the flat bread) that i drank the au jus LOL. My husband had the wet burrito and loved it. We also had fried mushrooms with ranch for an appetizer. We will definitely stop again, and it’s right off 75!

There is no welcoming atmosphere. It’s a bar. They don’t care if you’re there or not. That said, or server was sufficient, friendly enough, but not looking to make friends. It wasn’t busy, but our food still took a very long time. I’m sure it was hand-crafted in the kitchen, so I wasn’t too salty about that. We shared a 1lb burrito; it was good. We are used to our fellow northern Michiganders to be somewhat more friendly than the next guy, so I was a bit disappointed with that, but I did not take it personally. If Mill Street Pizza is closed, this is definitely a decent option, but not if you’re in a rush.

First time eating here. Had the bluegill and wife had cod. Portions were generous. What really impressed me was the way the waitresses worked. Whichever one walked by the table asked if we needed anything. They worked together seamlessly. Prices were also quite reasonable. Will definitely return. One minor complaint was the beer wasn’t very cold.

Perfect spot to stop for a quick burger & beer. Our kiddos got grilled ham & cheeses and amused themselves playing eye spy with all the different animals No kids menu, so keep that in mind for pricing. The lady that was our server/bartender/cook was attentive, efficient, and perfectly friendly.
Also, the juke box is voice sensitive and you can request songs from your table
