We have eaten at Elizabeth’s all the way back to the 70’s in High Point. This particular Elizabeth’s, on Groometown Rd., has become our favorite. The Steak and Cheese Sub is like no other! Their pasta dishes and salads are amazing! The pizzas and strombolis always look great when served. Brandon is our favorite waiter, but the whole staff is friendly and offer great service. Highly recommend!

First time I ever ate at this place was yesterday, TheynMade me a amaretto sour , which had whiskey in it.. Have to say I’ve never drank one like this.I think I like it the other way. But try the garlic knots , they are to die for.. These are the best garlic knots ever..

Okay first time here. Walked in and was asked if it was for here or to go. I said for here he stopped and that was it. Waited for the host to seat us but she was talking to some guest about something going on with them. Finally she asked if we would like table or booth. We went with booth. Then the fun happens. Ordered our food and asked if a side salad came with mine she said yes my mistake. Then waited for our side salad that came after the main dish. Asked side salad comes first she said my fault. For the money the food was the size of a lunch portion. Food was okay not the best. Oh and no bread really. And only checked on us one time. I fully understand what waitresses go through but you are not busy you only had 3 tables and never checked on them.

This is our favorite Elizabeth’s in the area. Their staff is second to none and are always friendly helpful and courteous. We enjoy all of their food and their prices are reasonable. The interior is spacious and they are always willing to accommodate our typical party of 8-10… It is one of our go-to places to eat. In addition, they have some TVs with sporting events on… But they aren’t intrusive.

Food is a 3 but service was a 5.
It’s slightly better than Olive Garden but not by much. I’ve have had great chicken parmigiana. This one was mediocre, unremarkable… The soup of the day was salty, and it tasted like marinara sauce.
The restaurant has a nice interior, very spacious and has a reserved vibe to it.
I recommend Elizabeth’s Pizza for those who love comfort food.
Nothing really intrigues me to come back for another try.

Came here and ordered the wings and the cheese steak. The wings were okay, a little over cooked but not a big deal. The sub on the other hand was very disappointing/ disgusting it was overfilled with meat, to the point that I could make a whole extra sandwich. On top of that the bread was completely soggy and burnt. There was not one piece of lettuce. I ate half and ended up throwing the rest away….. idk how it made out the kitchen it looked like slop. The proportions of meat to everything else on the sandwich runined it. Made it unappetizing, soggy, and seemed like it was just threw together.

Cologne Flavored Pizza

We haven’t visited this location in about 5 years. We decided to try their pizza again – big mistake. The pizza itself was decent and the crust had a nice texture. However, I could smell cologne on the pizza box and even worse, IN THE PIZZA! I thought perhaps it was just on the box and was from waitstaff or a cashier handling it (they shouldn’t be wearing scents though). I gagged as cologne penetrated my taste buds on the very first bite! It lingered in my mouth for a while, and I almost got sick. My family tasted it too. No one in my home wears perfume/cologne/scented products so it wasn’t anything in my house.

I decided to call and tell them about what happened, I wasn’t asking for a refund or anything, I just wanted them to know and also ask how this happened. If I ran a restaurant I would want to know that people preparing the food I serve are contaminating the food with fragrances.

The girl who answered the phone seemed concerned when I told her what happened and she put me on hold to speak to a manager after I had asked to speak to one. I assume the girl told the manager person what happened because I had to hold for a few minutes but when he came to the phone he just said “HELLO?”. He didn’t sound friendly at all, he almost sounded annoyed right away. I told him what happened and he had zero concern. He just said “Bring the pizza in and you can get another one”. I said, nicely, “we are grossed out by this, we don’t want another one”. (I mean why on earth would I want another one when he didn’t acknowledge there was any issue therefore this problem will still continue)… Anyway, he said I could get a refund if I bring it in. I don’t mind bringing it in but it was the large carryout special deal price so it wasn’t like I spent a ton of money, it’s pretty inconvenient for me to drive out of my way back over there to get this $13 or $14 back. I could tell in his tone and his lack of acknowledging the issue that he probably didn’t believe me. I asked him how this could have happened (because I know most dining establishments forbid fragrances to be worn by the staff). He just casually said “oh maybe it was some soap left on the hands”, which I told him it was definitely not!

He didn’t apologize or anything. No “I’m so sorry” or “Let me find out what happened and ask my staff” or “I’m going to look into this so it doesn’t happen again”… you know, usual responses from a business that has integrity and cares about its customers!

We will not be returning, it’s sad too because the pizza otherwise seemed like it would have been good. That cologne pizza will forever be embedded into my memory when I think of Elizabeth’s on Groomtown Rd. I gave them one extra star since the order was prepared on time and the pizza itself actually looked great, such a shame! If one of their staff responds to this review just know no one will do anything about it, they had their chance to make it right.

FIRST and probably last time visiting this place. Went on behalf of a relative to get a slice of pepperoni pizza. My issue was with the price I paid…for WHAT I got! $4 for a super thin slice and is there a maximum number of pepperoni per slice that I was not aware of as to why I was served what the picture shows??? Can’t judge other menu items BUT will definitely not return for any more “slices”…

I would like to give this restaurant a five, but the lettuce beneath the surface was rusted and the balsamic vinaigrette dressing was thin, runny, and bland tasting. Our entrees were fresh and delicious. The garlic knots are the best in town, and Kayla gave us excellent service.

The restaurant is open for dine-in service, and the staff wore gloves and face masks while interacting with us. We didn’t have to wait before being seated. The food portions are generous. I’ll definitely return to this restaurant for some hot garlic knots and a good meal.
