We started with a few apps and a drink. Service was good.
Then dinner came. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Don’t stop there. Dessert was just as good.
We had a good time with a good meal at a good restaurant with good service.
I would recommend on any night that I am not there. I don’t want to wait for a table.
Our waiter was very informative and super friendly. He was able to share some great details about individual menu options such as how something is made, the flavor profile, the quality , etc.. He asked questions about our preferences and was very attentive. He made us feel like our experience and satisfaction mattered. The food was so delicious!
We started with the coconut curry mussels. They were cooked perfectly and the coconut curry broth was well balanced and loaded with flavor. The mussels were served with a nice local bread that held up well for soaking up the broth. I ordered the Island Farro Salmon and my date ordered the Shrimp Scampi. Both dishes were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I was also surprised how quickly our food was served. The portions were perfect size too – not too little nor too much food. We both finished our plates and were satisfied but decided to split a dessert because they have bananas foster bread pudding with a rum caramel sauce. It was served with their own homemade vanilla ice cream. Sooo yummy!! A must try!
We were also impressed at the waiter wiping the crumbs off our table after our dinner and before dessert.
The atmosphere is relaxed.
We ordered duck confit bruschetta as an appetizer and cod cakes and short ribs as our mains. All dishes were really good! I was a little hesitant about ordering the cod cakes because it is deep fried. However, there was no sign of greasiness or overcooking in the dish. Juicy and tender – this is how i would describe them. The portions were large enough and we were too full to have a dessert.
If you are planning to dine with kids, the kids menu is not listed on the website. However, the restaurant offers 3 kids options: pasta with butter, pasta with red sauce, and chicken tenders with french fries. My daughter had pasta and butter and said it was good.
Food needed slight adjustments to really elevate the dishes. The mussels were great but the porkchop was over cooked. It still had nice flavor but unfortunately was not cooked the best.
It’s a great venue for nice nights out but I wouldn’t recommend for the food snobs.
Desserts (see photos) were mind blowing!
My wife commented that she never felt rushed and we had a long and pleasant visit with our friend. Special Note: Leigh Whitten was our server… he was pleasant, helpful, and attentive without being invasive.
