Elina’s in Chicago’s West Town is hands-down one of the best Italian-American spots I’ve ever experienced—easily deserving every single one of those 5 stars!
From the moment we stepped inside, the vibe was perfect: intimate, cozy, and effortlessly stylish with warm wood tones, leather seating, and just the right amount of Sinatra playing overhead. It feels special without being stuffy—ideal for a date night, celebration, or just treating yourself.
The food is outstanding and hits all the right notes for classic, comforting Italian done with real care and skill. We started with the Italian chopped salad (crisp, fresh, and addictive), then dove into the legendary vodka rigatoni—creamy, perfectly balanced, with that ideal kick—and the chicken parmesan, which was crispy, cheesy, and ridiculously satisfying. Portions are generous enough to share (or not!), and everything tasted homemade in the best way.
Service was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable without hovering. Our server made great recommendations and kept the evening flowing smoothly. The whole team made us feel genuinely welcome.
If you’re craving top-notch red-sauce Italian in a buzzy yet intimate setting, Elina’s is a must. We’re already planning our return—highly recommend reserving ahead, as this gem fills up fast!
5/5 stars all around. Worth every penny and more. ✨

Excellent dinner, atmosphere, and service. Alex V. was the King-serviced enough, but not too much. The food was incredible…outstanding. Started with fries and ceasar salad …chicken parm, Steak, Scampi, and rigatoni for dinner. Excellent, elevated! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Dark and cozy atmosphere, big portions, aldente home made pasta. The food was great, we tried signature Caesar salad, meatballs, whole sole and pasta bolognese. We aware of big portions and prepare to take left overs home. The atmosphere is nice although the place gets busy and they have to put a limit of time per table. Our waited for nice and take good care of us.

The rigatoni alla vodka, mozzarella en carozza, and the frito misto are so good here! Everything was really filling. The free bread appetizer is also really nice, it comes with salami and what I believe is pickled eggplant.

I would say the experience was good wasn’t like over the moon but it was there, it’s simple and cute on the inside just super small…so it’s as if we’re having everyone next to each other at a family gathering besides nobody knows anyone yet you hear is their conversations lol. old school music which is always a classic, only kinda thing that threw me off is that the bread that comes out before entree’s had a taste of shrimp to it or some kind of fishy taste definitely. It kinda threw me off it just feels they cook it so near in the oven that the taste transfers over…besides that it was very tasty, I want to come back and try other items I hope down the line this business can take movement elsewhere to a bigger location!

Delicious! You gotta come here with at least 3-4 people. The plates are quite generous. My favorite part of the experience were the ribs! The meat was falling off the bones and the ribs themselves were huge. The sauce all runs to the bottom of the pan they’re served in so make sure you get to pour some of that sauce back on your ribs to elevate the taste. The Caesar salad was also sublime. Their bread service is n/c and you’re given a generous amount and also given two different types of bread. Last but not least, the angel hair crab pasta. It needed a little more lemon for my liking, but I made sure I ordered some on the side. Our server / bar manager was such a vibe as well! Very patient, descriptive and friendly.

Elina’s does it best! The atmosphere is super cozy and the music really sets the mood.
The rigatoni alla vodka is so good, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. The Caesar salad is crisp and fresh, easily one of my favorites. And save room for the tiramisu, it’s incredible! The cocktails are also so refreshing and pair perfectly with everything.
Overall, great food, warm vibe, and attentive service. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Hands down my favorite pasta in the city, and somehow still feels like a low-key neighborhood gem. This is the kind of place you almost don’t want to tell people about… but it’s too good not to.
The vodka pasta is an absolute must—perfectly cooked, rich without being heavy, and the kind of dish you think about days later. But the real sleeper hit? The cherry pepper ribs. Criminally underrated. Sweet, spicy, tender, and wildly addictive. Order them even if you came “just for pasta.”
Cozy vibes, consistently amazing food, and that rare feeling of a spot that locals truly love. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit, it hits every time. A true neighborhood treasure.
