The best and unique Indian food we ever had. We found this place, ELAICHII, the modern Indian restaurant at lake ridge plaza right next to dollar tree and food town in Valley Cottage. It’s a brand new restaurant which has just opened couple of weeks ago, I believe.
Overall, dining experience at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish.
We tried eggplant and burrata dish which was unique, fresh and flavorful. For the mains we had duck bhoona which was also great and Old Delhi butter chicken which was out of this world. To finish we ordered choco-jamun which was delightful and perfect balance between creaminess and sweetness. A must go place in Rockland county. We will be back.

This is the best modern Indian food that I have ever e ever had! They accommodate for allergies, food preferences and there is a great vegan/vegetarian selection. The service is warm, friendly and extremely attentive. We have been going consistently since they opened and it is so fresh. This is definitely worth a trip!

Food is ok. I have only had two items so far. But I felt they were mediocre. Samosa pastry was very good. But the inside was very mushy and not that flavorful. The butter chicken was not my style. I like my butter chicken a bit creamier and more buttery. This was a bit thin, chunky, and lacked the underlying buttery taste. I will go back to try other items and update!

I am someone who has lived in Pomona for >20 years and am from Bombay. I know my Indian food well. Today by happenstance (was shopping at FoodTown) I stepped into Elaichi at lunch time. What caught my eye first was the eclectic menu with many novel items – both veg and non-veg. I had to try some. Chicken tikka korma and mushroom tikka masala had my attention. The food was spectacular – with a polished, high cuisine touch novel taste combinations and not just the usual stuff the naan was simply amazing – light, crispy and so well garnished. The service was very personal and caring. Elaichi has been there for only a few months but will get repeated visits from my family. In my opinion, this is the best Indian restaurant in Rockland. Bravo!

This was Aroma Thai. The owner recently changed to an Indian-fusion menu. Some traditional dishes, but more creative variations, and much more catering to a western palate (less intensely spicy/ sweet). Also, a good selection of vegan options. Delicious and different.

Ordered take out from here tonight. Samosas were so delicious. The chicken entrees were tasty but extremely salty! If they turned down the salt, it wound be much better I’m happy to see a new restaurant in Valley
Cottage ❤️
