My girlfriend and I love this place! We enjoy trying all sorts of new restraunts from all over our valley and beyond. This one needs to be on your list! Atmosphere is great with friendly and attentive servers, food is excellent and served on beautiful decorative plates too. One of our favorites!

We had Tina, she was great. Food was good. Prices where fair. Only thing I would do differently is have better chips. They chips where hard and plain. But service and our meals where great

Been there a few times and Bragged about how good the chili rellenos were. Unfortunately this time the food was only warm not hot, chili rellenos were small, soggy and the cheese was rubbery. The salsa, both mild and medium had little flavor and the strawberry lemonade was basically just strawberry water. The beans and rice were good. I might try again but it will be a while before I do.

Nice atmosphere, good food, and nice service. I would not call this an authentic Mexican restaurant. This is more of a Mexican American restaurant. But the food is good. The drinks are also pretty good. The environment has nice music, making this a welcoming gathering for family and friends. They have a separate bar section witch we really liked.

We had a meeting in Hemet. Stopped by El Zarape’s after as a friend recommended it. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great but the best of all was the service. Enrique was incredible. He went above and beyond for us. It was such a great experience with Enrique! Thank you for being so amazing. I managed IN-N-Out Burger for 11 years so it’s rare that I see that same kind of service.

First time trying El Zarape.
This restaurant is deep in Hemet Ca. Has nice decor and friendly staff. They offer three different salsa with their chips, mild, medium and spicy. Unfortunately none were spicy. The food had plus and minutes. The beef Taco, cheese Enchilada and Baja fish taco were all good as was the rice. The chile relleno I didn’t like. The chile relleno was small and had very little on the egg batter coating that is commonly fluffier and fuller on the chile relleno. I understand Prices are going up everywhere, but here they are okay and if you dig into the menu there are savings to be found. Unfortunately the do nickel and dime you here and there, like $1 to go cup or a cash and debit price and 4% more for credit. We be going back at least once more to try out their Taco Tuesday which has 8 different tacos to choose from. Four from $2 and 4 from $3. I will update after we try it out.

Ordered their Pancake Platter with sausage and scrambled eggs. Loved the pancakes, but the syrup container broke. Wait staff seemed preoccupied with larger parties. The ambience was nice and the coffee was pretty good.

Great food ! Friendly staff. The service is seriously slow when crowded. If you call to place an order and they put you on hold, just hang up. They will never come back on the line.
Great salsa served with chips.

Went to El Zarape on a recommendation. I went with my wife, her sisters, 1 husband & their grandma. Total of 6.

The feedback on the food was the fajitas were good, the shrimp salad was good, the guacamole bowl was good. I had two chicken tacos & they were very average.

Let’s get to the service. It was horrible. We continually had to ask for refills. Our waitress actually walked away from our table while we had a question on the Senior menu. She left our table & went to talk to a couple of people she obviously knew, came back in like 5 mins with the answer to our simple question. That was the rudest service I’ve ever had. I always start my experience with a 20% or higher tip in mind, she definitely did not get that from me.

The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The portions were adequate for the price.

The interior environment was nice. But I agree with another reviewer, this isn’t authentic Mexican food.
