My husband brought me here one time, and I ordered the steak burrito & a few steak taco’s & I wasn’t disappointed. Best taco place in Peoria to me. And the steak burrito was pretty big. And the churros , yum!!! Definitely recommend! Great food, and great prices. Had it 3 days in a row. And I just tried their loaded nachos but added steak & jalapeño. I love this place

Used my Sweet deals gift certificate. They tried to say dine-in only. However that is not printed on the certificate. Only tried to use 1 so I was good on that part. They did accept the certificate BONUS! Our order came to $50. Most of the food was very good except for the Beans. Like what in the holy vinegar was that.

Small Corner restaurant, My GPS Said turns left and arriving on Right What this really means is if you are in the left lane to make a turn, there is no Turn you are following the road around stay toward the Right turn right. The Seating area is small but adequate. Slightly confusing asked if we sit or order at the counter, takes longer if you sit. So go to the counter and get a menu then return to the counter to order. they do a lot of take orders may be why sitting down confused the waitress. Had the Zarpe Burrito and chicken corn tacos, very good. Lighting is very dim Spanish music and TV. Service was good once they figured out we were ordering dinner. The food came up quickly and was hot. Good size portions you should not go away hungry worth a return trip if you are in Peoria about 5 minutes from the Interstate 74

place deserves 5 stars. I just left there after a little wait but it was honestly no big deal to me. they were so nice and gave me extra tacos for the wait. I love this family business and I always feel so warm while going there. Please support them well!

I tried to support a small business today, El Zarape on Western and you know my feelings are kinda hurt and I’m highly upset. I bought Two $25 certificates for like $15 on special promotion. I went to use them Monday for a to go order and as you’ll see it says “no more than 2 certificates at a time” the total was $40 so I hand her TWO certificates and she immediately catches an attitude and says you can only use one I told the radio only one and no to go orders. Now my problem here is that this is now false advertising. She treated me like a criminal and said I need to call the radio and fix it then. this is the owner Lily I speak of! So I leave, I’m not gonna cause a issue. So I decide to go back today and use only ONE certificate, dining in! I feel robbed and cheated! She refused to give me back the certificate with a balance of $10. There is absolutely nothing sweet about that deal what so ever. I would have accepted her telling me Monday “hey I asked them to only put one certificate at a time, by I’ll honor it this time, but moving forward I can’t. I would have taken that, but she treated me like a criminal, complete scum FOR TRYING TO SUPPORT HER BUSINESS!!! How dare you! Do not get this “sweet deal” it is a scam and she will Keep YOUR REMAINING BALANCE!!

This has been one of my favorite restaurants in Peoria for the last three years. Lily, the manager, is an absolutely superstar in terms of running an amazing establishment. Her and her staff recognize customers and engage in fun, engaging conversation.
And the food? Absolutely delicious and so reasonably priced. The chimichanga burrito is my go-to and it never fails to exceed expectations. I have brought all of my friends here at some point and they all love it as well.
This is an amazing establishment and it is family owned, making the entire experience welcoming, refreshing, and ultimately delicious.

The food is fantastic and well-priced. I’m a big fan of their ‘traditional’ tacos, and my wife eats vegetarian, and even she finds many items on the menu delicious and filling! A bonus they offer that many other Mexican restaurants in the area don’t is the GIGANTIC 32 oz. Coranas with limes. And trust me, combine all the above mentioned elements, and you’ve got a PERFECT lunch or dinner at El Zarape. Thank you guys!
