I very much enjoyed eating here. The man that helped us at the counter was so polite. The food was great. I had the street tacos. Carnitas was good beans and rice was awesome. They have homemade chips and salsa which the salsa so unique and good. The Horchata is perfect. Will come again

New stop for me and my coworker. We searched Google food by us. Found this place El Zalsoso. Gave it a shot has good reviews. Ordered chicken tacos and handmade corn tortillas were delicious also rice and beans and chips and salsa. Great service, great food. Cold drinks too. Very welcoming and helpful and owner. We will be back and I recommend as a Google reviewer.

I saw the 5-star reviews and honestly expected this to be a comfortable sit-down Mexican restaurant where you could relax and enjoy a full meal. Instead, it felt much more like a pick-up-and-go type of place, which wasn’t what we were anticipating. That difference alone set the tone for the visit.
One of the biggest disappointments was that they didn’t even have chilaquiles at all. This was one of the main reasons we chose to come here, so finding out it wasn’t even an option was frustrating. Chilaquiles are a fairly common dish at many Mexican restaurants, especially for anyone familiar with traditional or regional Mexican food, so the absence really stood out.
The cleanliness was another issue. The restaurant was semi-clean, but there were noticeable areas that could have been cleaner. Nothing extreme, but enough to be distracting and to take away from the overall dining experience, especially when you’re planning to sit and eat with your family.
To be fair, not everything was bad. The al pastor had good flavor, and that was probably the highlight of the meal. The seasoning was solid, and it showed that there is some potential in the kitchen.
Even the drinks were a letdown, though. This is the first place we’ve ever been where the boys didn’t finish their horchata. It was much thicker than any horchata we’ve had before, and they simply didn’t like it.
For context, we’re well-versed in this type of food, having eaten Mexican cuisine extensively in Mexico, Los Angeles, and San Diego. This review isn’t about going after the restaurant or the staff—it’s just an honest reflection of our experience. While there were a couple of positives, overall it didn’t live up to the hype or the high ratings, and it’s not a place we’d go out of our way to return to.

I have been coming here for a few years now, i am from LA California, this mexican food literally reminds me of home. It is so unbelievably good every single time. The ingredients are always fresh, the texture of the meats are always perfect, rice is always fluffy and flavorful, tortillas are phenomenal. Price is crazy good. Portion size is large. I am highly impressed and so in love with this place i wish i could visit more. Today i tried the butrito zalsoso with csrne asada added and WOW i havent had Mexican food this good in a while. Best mexican place in Oregon and Washington. And i eat at a New Mexican place at least once a week. The service is always top tier and the location is perfect for shopping, dates, easy parking. 10/10 highly recommend. Thank you to the chef for doing such great work.

My favorite lil spot! They are always so fast and absolutely delicious. I almost always order the same thing but everything I’ve tried is great. Staff is always so friendly. I wish they were open later as I’m a late eater but I also understand why they have a set schedule.

I order homemade corn tortilla tacos. Pastor and carne asada both were delicious. The tortilla was the perfect size. The salsas are great. The red one was my favorite. They have a lot of plates to order from. Their refried beans were also delicious. I will come back here again for sure.

Staff was friendly when arriving and said thank you as we left. The murals and music inside the restaurant was nice.
I ordered #27 with the handmade tortillas. The rice and beans were awesome. I added a bit of salt to them. The sour cream tasted great. The cooked jalapeño was a nice touch, too.
There was limited seating inside the restaurant, but we were able to get a table fairly quickly. The sauces were awesome, too. if back in the area again, I’m definitely coming back for the tacos!
