We’ve come to this place since they opened. The food is great and the folks preparing the food + serving you are nice. Vice beer next door has a good vibe plus beer and cider. You can’t go wrong with tacos and beer.

El Viejon is a quality Mexican food truck. Their ingredients are top-notch. They specialize in fish tacos but they have plenty of beef, pork and chicken as well. I’ve tried the carne asada, al pastor and quesabirria. They’re all quality meat but a bit unseasoned for my palete. Fortunately they have three salsa choices: Verde, rojo and habanero. The truck is next door to Vice Beer and they have a relationship with them. You can sit inside the brewery. There’s also a nice outside patio. El Viejón is one of the more expensive tacos in VanPort but to be fair, their tacos have twice the meat than other places that charge less. So it’s a good value. I’ve tried their burrito. I like the tacos better. The truck is in a very industrial park with lots of businesses but there always seems to be spots to park. Check out my profile for more great eateries in craft cocktail bars. -VanPort Insider✌

The food truck is next to a brewery, highly recommend tonget some beer and then hit this place. Tacos were amazing with great flavor. Prices are reasonable. Service was super fast.

I wanted to like this place. The flavors were pretty good, but execution on some of them were… weak sauce. The sauces (salsas) are watery and tasteless. The tortillas are fresh but undercooked and a little grainy. Then they mask everything with a lot of sauces on the tacos, like chipotle mayo. The oysters in the fried oysters were tiny and overcooked. Tasted okay. The Birria grilled cheese was stuffed, but came out first… and cold?! So were the fries. Sad. What saved them was the fried empanadas, juicy, plump and stuffed and freshly fried to order.

2 chicken Burrito bowls…served to us cold. Beans, slaw at the bottomand filler, all cold. Made a comment to the truck server and was told the “steamer doesn’t work right all the time. Sorry.” No offer to correct it, reheat it (which I know really isn’t an option) or replace it with something fresh off the grill. The burrito was fresh to order and fish taco too but overall food taste has dropped off. My wife and I have come to this taco truck since its OG days when it first opened. Been a huge follower and supporter. Tonight was our third “let’s give them another try maybe we are wrong.” Definitely a difference in taste and service without Eldy. Sorry. We won’t be back to this location at Vice Beer on Mill Plain.

Back again. Ended up trying the El Gobernador. Pretty much shrimp tacos with fried shell, comes with cilantro, a chipotle aïoli and cheese. 10/10 The service is always amazing and I highly recommend it at lunch time!

Wow!!! What a great find in east Vancouver (USA).

Amazing flavors, menu options, service, and a beer window next door (bonus). Limited outdoor seating but plenty of free parking.

Already planning our next trip.

My friends and I absolutely love getting food here while at Vice! The prices are a little steep for street tacos, but they’re super filling and very flavorful! Highly recommend the carne pollo or carne asada tacos! We’ve also gotten chips and salsa here. The portion is pretty small. Better to skip that one.

Drove an hour in Portland rush hour to try the Quesabirria taco. Hit the spot with great flavors and warmth on a chilly night. Worth it!

1st time there. I needed some tasty, filling and nutritous food quickly after work on a day with no time to eat. I only got a carne asada burrito and salsa verde but it was hands down the best I’ve tasted in Vancouver WA. Service was friendly and fast. I know I’ll return many times and bring friends & family with me. I want this place to be around for as long as I live.
