Food was great, service was great, vibe is hip and welcoming. Had the shrimp tacos for app and they were one of the best I’ve had. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and tender. The staff was great and made sure we were comfortable sitting outside moving the heat lamps closer to us. See some negative reviews about the service, but we were well taken care of.

There are some complaints about the price of food, but I felt the portions were good. The only issue I had, being a tequila drinker, is the the prices are kind of ridiculous. Espolon blanco shouldn’t be $24 for a glass when a bottle is $32. You have to give people some options that don’t cost what you would pay for high end tequila. It’s Southampton, but you gotta have sub $20 options for your tequila being a Mexican restaurant. I was excited about their wide assortment of tequila and when I saw the prices I just went with a bottle of wine. Management you need to do better with this one thing.

Otherwise we had an amazing time there and can’t wait to go back.

It’s been a long time since I’ve come across an authentic Mexican restaurant like El Verano. The menu is hearty, and attractive. I always look for two things, a rellaño or tamale. Tonight I had an incredible rellaño. It’s one of the first times I’ve had one not breaded as it rested on a puree and sauce, stuffed with goodness. It was a great change to eat a fresh pepper complimenting the other layers of flavor.

My flan wasn’t bad. But it was missing a pop on flavor.

The Hamptons vibe, delicious authentic Latin flavors! Professional staff. Great for the whole family or a couple lawyers tapping out for the day, this spot is all the vibes! Chris-the owner or manager (not sure) gracefully put out fires left and right! With a smile on his face. The bartenders were attentive even for only the lemon aid drinker! Definitely recommend! Will visit again soon! My photos are not the best but I was trying to protect the privacy of others. Enjoy! You won’t regret

We had been wanting to come for a while (we are Toloache fans) and so glad we finally did!
We had the short rib Birria tacos, fluke tacos, esquite & queso fundido. I always appreciate a restaurant that doesn’t water down their food and instead highlights true bold flavors! Can’t wait to come back.

We loved El Verano. It was excellent. We sat at the bar (with Brooke Shields!) and we loved our server (long blond hair! I wish I remembered her name!). We had the short rib tacos, potatoes with chimichurri, and chicken enchiladas. All delicious. The cucumber margarita was a huge hit. Highly recommend this place.

Excellent high end Mexican in the town of Southampton. Dropped in and was able to get a seat at the bar where we were greeted by friendly staff. Margarita selection was good and the pistachio infused Mezcal had some good flavor. We had oysters, ceviche and carne asada. For carne asada we did not think it was necessary to upgrade the beef and it came out awesome (cut against the grain!). Very happy with our impromptu visit

What a refreshing addition to the Southampton village restaurant scene. Just had an impromptu lunch here with my husband and it really hit the spot after a day on the beach. Chips were still warm from the fryer, guacamole was one of the best we’ve had. Came with a delicious smoky hot sauce on the side. Hubby got chicken enchiladas, I got toro taquitos. Both were great. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Seriously, best food in town besides East Hampton grill. Impeccable service and top quality food. 10/10 this is why it’s a joy to go out to dinner. Excellent interior design, great lighting and sound baffling. Iykyk

Really authentic Latin American cuisine with great service in a posh setting. Menu features ingredients like jicama and Peruvian corn-both favorites of mine that are hard to come by in the area. As someone who travels to Latin American countries every year and loves the food-I would say this is the closest I’ve found on Long Island.
