This is my first time coming here and the experience was exceptional. We were greeted by an extremely friendly young man who has great customer service. The seating area was spacious and very clean. We ordered Pastor tacos & Panuchos with pork. Both dishes were so flavorful and you could tell were made with quality ingredients. I frequent many Latino food businesses and this place is easily my top 5. Thank you El Vencedor for this amazing meal.

No shortage of tacos in Portland but this place is my very favorite. Birria tacos, asada tacos, best I’ve had in town. I love the roasted jalapeno, I crave it. And they’re always so nice.

Our favorite quick Mexican spot. The food is really good. There is a mix of authentic dishes and things that are more americanized. The tacos are my favorite – I have tried them all. I usually get the carne asada and conchinita pibil. They are more authentic, white onion and cilantro.
We usually get pickup but there is a little covered seating area that feels welcoming.
The staff are very friendly. There are a few of them whose English is not very strong, but communicating has not been an issue. They will get help from other staff or you can use a translation app on your phone.
We had one experience that could have gone bad. Their credit card machine charged us twice and the person there didn’t know how to fix it. The owner drove back after having worked all day (this was like 8pm) to help. He then gave us a full refund for waiting and threw in some churros (so good). They were all really apologetic about it and we walked away feeling even better about it than our typical experiences. They all really care.

Took my whole family before heading to The Grotto. We traveled from Kennewick, WA and we were looking for some food and this place just hit every mark. Food was great, atmosphere was amazing and that little sit down area was awesome. The service was also great. Everyone had a smile which really is great to see. Price was also super decent for the quality. Highly recommend

I had the birria tacos that came with broth, with a side of beans and rice and all of the sauces and it was AMAZING!! The flavor and spices were exactly like what I ate in Mexico. Really soul-satisfying food. Unfortunately I leave Portland tomorrow but the next time I’m here I will go back and try everything else! Highly recommend!!!
