We’ve eaten at El Vallarta several times, but this was our first visit since their beautiful remodel—and wow, what a transformation! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing—warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night out.
To start, I had a margarita (which arrived with the most beautiful orchid on top!), and my husband ordered a Dos XX Amber served in an ice-cold frosty mug. We kicked things off with the ceviche appetizer. It had jalapeños, so I only had a few bites (I’m a bit of a spice wimp), but my husband loved it.
For dinner, I had the shrimp and rice—so flavorful!—and my husband ordered the Tacos de San Jose, which he raved about. Portion sizes were spot-on—no leftovers, and not a single crumb left on our plates.
We truly enjoyed our evening and can’t wait to come back again soon! Highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t seen the new space yet

Good food, doesn’t come with everything listed. This is the second time ordering pick up and my plate is missing guac and other fresh produce. Disappointed. Ordering a specific plate for what it has and ended up with less ingredients than a taco.

The decorations and atmosphere are amazing but the food was terrible. We got taco salads, they were super small for $12 & very plain. My shell was completely burnt and the plate it was on felt like it just came out of the oven. It was so terribly hot you could not even put a finger on it. My toddler got the kids corndog meal & that was even terrible. The corndog was absolutely disgusting & something crunchy was in the bread part. We really wanted to love it but we will not be back.

The food was fine and service good. My wife loved the decor. I had the Enchiladas Suprema while my wife had the Steak Vallarta, her shrimp was perfect and the rest was standard fare.

Don’t order a margarita it is straight juice. Service was good, but when we told them there was no tequila they offered a shot to make up for it. 1 shot does not replace 6-7 shots that are supposed to be in a 60oz pitcher. Waste of money!

I was very surprised by just how great everything about this place was. I got the Carne Asada, it was good, not the best that I have every had but that’s ok. The chicken on the beach was jam packed with great flavor and that is probably something I would get if I came back. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The vibe inside was appropriate for a Mexican food restaurant. Very clean inside and good food, I’ll be returning.

Was not overly impressed with the food found it to be very bland and kind of sloppy. Definitely nothing authentic about this place. Service was really slow even though they were not busy. There is definitely a lot better Mexican be had!
