Great food at excellent prices! Oysters were fresh, and chicken quesadillas seasoned just right. Restaurant its cozy with nice decor, and diverse music from Latin rock to Mexican country. Definitely worth it!

I checked out El Vado #2 recently and it’s easily some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a while.
The carne asada was actually perfect—the flavor was spot on and it was cooked exactly how it should be. They also started us off with chips and three different salsas, which was a nice touch since most places only give you one.
What really blew me away, though, was the service. It was genuinely some of the best I’ve experienced in a long time. They’re fast, friendly, and actually pay attention.
If you’re looking for a solid meal with great vibes, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back.

The best chicken nachos my friend and I have, ingredients is very fresh and delicious . We also have Molcajete Mar y Tierra, with shrimp, beef, chicken, cactus leaves, jalapenos and dip it in special cheese and meat sauce. The dish is outstanding. We finished our meal with fried ice cream. Price is reasonable and drinks are delicious. Our server came couple of times to check on us. Very attentive.

Enjoyed a dinner with our family of 5 on a Saturday night. Everyone’s meals were perfectly prepared and delicious. Carne asada was perfectly cooked and tender and juicy. It came with a cheese enchilada, perfectly seasoned beans and rice. Steak fajitas were flavorful and plentiful. Asada taco dinners were perfect for our boys and a cheese quesadilla for our youngest child was a crowd pleaser. Food did not taste like old oil which we have experienced at other establishments so everything tasted fresh and we will be back again.

Been wanting to go for a while. But it’s been packed thr 2 times we’ve gone. But it was worth the wait today. Went early today and was seated right away. Our server was polite and gave us suggestions on the food and drinks. Overall we give it 5 stars, excellent restaurant. It’s going to be our favorite restaurant to eat Mexican food.

I decided to give a try at this new business in town! Joshua was super welcoming and got us chips and salsa to start off right away. And I had asked for an adjustment from the menu item, and he gladly did it and even gave a beautiful avocado rose. It was so beautiful to look at, which I happily enjoyed! Presentation, flavor everything was great! Their spicy sauces were amazing!
I was a huge fan of the previous establishment “La Parroquia” and was eager to see how this new restaurant will be… definitely satisfied!! They have changed the furniture and decor to suit their brand and looks nice!

Thanks to all the prior reviews we had to go check this out. So close to where we love and did not disappoint!
Let’s be real located in a strip mall, for what it is decor is really nice, furniture unique and interesting, all barrel themed and authentic looking.
Service was on the dot. We had Catherine and she was awesome. Gave us suggestions, pushed our boundaries a bit in a good way , having us sample some unique things we might not have tried
You get a complimentary chips and salsa with added sauces in serving bottles.i ordered a mango margarita with Mezcal, on the rocks. Was yumm.
We tried the mix seafood ceviche. Was filled with octopus. For those that like octopus this is a treat. For main course my husband had 3 tacos, 1 chicken, chorizo and a steak. He like the chorizo best and said the chicken was moist and flavorful coming in second.
I got talked into the seafood molcaljete which was spicy, filling and amazing! If you have been to a seafood boil, this is way better with more seafood varieties , generous portion of crab meat. It was excellent!
Since this was our first time there , the manager brought out a complimentary guac and chips for us to sample. We enjoyed it very much. Nice touch, and thank you!
I took a star away for the atmosphere, by the time we were getting to the end of our meal the place was filling up with patrons, but also heavy smoke from the kitchen. New patrons walking in immediately looked around at the smoke surrounding them.
An improved ventilation system might help, I would hate for a smoke alarm to go off or something worse happen mid meal.
We will definitely be back inspite of the smoke. It did not bother us much since we got there early and it was still empty. Might do that again.
Bottom line, check this place out. You won’t regret it

We had a going away/baby shower party at Northwestern Medicine & El Vado #2 catered our lunch! Presentation was excellent and the food was delicious! They provided condiments on the side and hot sauces! I highly recommend, whether it is dine-in or takeout! Thank you El Vado #2 for catering, we will definitely be ordering from you again!

Prices are reasonable in this new Mexican restaurant in lake Zurich. The deco is very authentic with beautiful chairs.see picture. We ordered the steak burrito and was glad it did not come stuffed with rice as a filler. The server, Edgar, was polite and friendly and although he did make a mistake with the order, he apologized profusely.
For gluten-free they are willing to wrap corn tortilla separately instead of wheat flour.

We’ve been wanting to try this place since they opened a while back and finally got take out last night. Ordered via DoorDash for pick up. We were welcomed as soon as we walked and waited for a few minutes for the food (arrived early). The restaurant is nice and spacious and decorated tastefully. The food was so fresh and good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We got 2 taco dinners and a burrito dinner. Also got guac and chips. The size of the guacamole was great compared to some other restaurants. The chips were not my favorite , but not bad.
Overall, it was a great experience and will be back to try some other dishes.
