OMG !!!!!! The food was amazing! Literally tastes just like my mother-in-law cooked it. Food is amazing. Service was absolutely wonderful. All fresh food. Spoke with the cook and told her it was amazing. Super sweet lady. Plenty room to eat with company. Authentic Puerto Rican food! The serving size is worth what you pay for your plate! Also delicious fried food on the side from the Alcapurria to the Empanadias and to top it off Reano de papa (mashed potato with flavored meat in the middle). So worth to stop in! Come have your bite of Authentic Puerto Rican food here!

We ordered the cuban sandwiches for lunch. They were $12 combo meal with the sandwich and fries. They are amazing, just needed some mayo, but other than that. It was on point. We will be ordering again in the future and will be recommending them.

The workers are really friendly. The food tastes like a really good home cooked meal. It’s quiet and the food itself is a amazing price. If you are looking for great food and a nice environment to eat in I 100% recommend this to anyone!

Puerto Rican Food was great, tried some different things. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was strange, I could hear children shows from the back, which wasn’t bad. The bad was them playing music up front which just created way to much noise. Overall I recommend them and I will return.

Wow! This was incredible! This is the first time I ever had Puerto Rican food, and I am a convert!!!

I wandered into El Turpial and was pleased at how immaculate the floor and tables are. Extremely clean. They take much pride in cleanliness, that scored major points with me.

El Turpial appears to be a mom-and-pop family-run restaurant, that has plenty of room for indoor dining, as well as a variety of to-go options. Wanting to come to support local businesses, I figured I’d give this a try. Plus the pictures of the food had my mouth watering

The staff was friendly and helpful, and explained the menu to me. I had the chicken empanadas which were delicious. They had a tasty, slightly sweet taste on the outside, and on the inside the chicken was juicy, packed with flavor, and the melted cheese had an amazing savory, tangy flavor that practically melts in your mouth.

I then indulged into the pastrami sandwich, which just smacked of deliciousness. Reminded me of something I could get in New York City. The bread had a great chew, firmness, and fresh baked taste. The pastrami was premium quality, and everything they put on it was perfect. And it was huge! I didn’t want to eat too much, but I couldn’t stop because it was so delicious!

I love this place, and plan on returning next time I’m in Ashtabula to try some more Puerto Rican dishes! Wonderful!
